Didn't expect to stop over at this shop on our way to Beppu and It was located on the mountain road side.The exterior was the one that catching my eyeballs and stop by to have a look. Closer view, discovered it was a shop selling dofu, the nice and warmest atmosphere was draw my attention going in have a further look. After seeing all the unique stuff their selling inside shop, i decided all of us to have some dofu set for trying on before we proceed to beppu.The standard of their food didn't disappointed us.The texture of it was very smooth, tasty and delicious, pricing also surprising us, it is rather under price. Make us taking few more set before leaving to our next destination.The staff cum operators (family) was very friendly and helpful plus the warmest & comfortable environment making us to stay even longer, most 2 hours we then leave for our next destination, Beppu.We are really enjoy of their food and services plus the free flow hot tea provided in that kind of rainy day.Will visit again for our next kyushu trip. This shop is a memorable and comfort place to visit.

In a tiny little town (Oguni) in the middle of Kumamoto prefecture, not far from the fearsome Aso-San, is this delightfully modern and "Tokyo-esque" in its sophistication and service little fusion restaurant. The specialities include hamburger sets (not in a bun or with fries, but Japanese style with exquisite sauce and rice and vegetables) and various curries. We chose a hamburger set and hayashi rice. Both were absolutely delicious. I was driving so resisted the temptation of the tantalizingly cool draught beer that everyone seemed to be ordering. No desserts. Highly recommended if you need a change from the local specialities. Reasonable pricing in context, but Not cheap. Sets were at around 2,200 yen.
