Ayant quitté la région, je suis revenu avec plaisir dans ce restaurant toujours au sommet. Une cuisine faite maison, un accueil sans chichi mais très sympathique. J ai hâte d'y revenir a nouveau. Ne changez rien!

We stopped here for dinner en-route from Lille to the Somme Battlefield. It was a good choice. A charming restaurant, not surprisingly from its name, in an old school building! It was quite crowded and obviously very popular with locals, always a good sign. It was fun trying to make a choice from the French menu, with a bit of help from the waiter. We weren't 100% sure what we were ordering but we needn't have worried. The food was lovely and the service good and attentive.

Dans un superbe cadre moderne et chic aux tons vert sombre et or, nous avons découvert de véritables tableaux culinaires. Tout y est délicieux, du cocktail au dessert. Les produits de la région haut de France et de proximité sont mis à l'honneur. La cuisine moderne, savoureuse : un réel plaisir pour les papilles. La proposition de vin pour accompagner le plat fut judicieuse. Cette "entreprise familiale" où la gentillesse et la sympathie sont de mise est à découvrir absolument.

We were in our way to Netherlands, We decide to taste some nice restaurant close to Lille, Nice selection!!! Food was good and the Hamburger was Great! the attention excellent!

Stopped here for a meal, sat outside as the weather lovely, a lovely atmosphere, We had the steak and chips, cooked to perfection, the chips arrived in a little metal chip pan, also it came with salad, thought the salad could have had a bit more of a wash. Not a lot of choice of draught beers but had ruby leffe which was beautifully chilled. Réservation faite ce matin pour midi, une fois franchi la porte pas mal de monde...Une seule serveuse EMILIE, je crains un service long et désordonné... Et bien non, celle-ci avec le patron VALENTIN, prennent la commande rapidement avec un service impeccable sans bâcler et n'oubliant rien au passage!!!Le repas, que dire, tout est dans le titre, une brasserie? non mieux que la plupart des restos!!!Nickel sur les plats et desserts!!! Même le pain est bon!!! Une incroyable surprise au quelle ne nous attendions pas!!!Félicitations!!!

We stayed at the Auberge overnight, and decided to eat in the gastronomic restaurant, as opposed to the Bistro. The service was good,the food superb and well presented, and the overall ambience of the restaurant very pleasant. The amuse bouche was a foam dish- interesting! We asked the sommelier to provide an appropriate glass of wine with each course, and his selection was spot on. We had eaten the previous night at Loiseau Des Vignes in Beaune- this meal was better.

Nice place in a quiet corner of Seclin. More of a Bistro than a restaurant. A short menu with some interesting offers Fois gras maison was really good. For the main dish Mrs T chose veal kidneys and pronounced them delicious. I went for the Gourmet burger and rather regretted it. I make better bread myself and the meat could have been better. Unusually for France I found it rather overcooked. I pronounced it just OK. Desserts were good but not exceptional. The wine was really expensive and not particularly memorable.

On a lovely summer evening, a nice place to eat al fresco and be served with delicious galettes, somewhat different from those usually offered at these places. Beware of the upselling owner/ server, a really pleasant man. He managed to get us to take the smoked salmon starter which we did not regret for one moment, but the wine he recommended was quite ordinary and overprice by at least 50%.
