This is a nice place where it is easy to have some good time. The menu is short, modern and well balanced and the food is simply good. Good products, nice presentation, pleasant taste. Nothing extraordinary but the pleasure is here. Location is not the best, although reasonably central it is on a high traffic street, but once inside that is no longer a problem. Service courteous and efficient. Prices average. Definitely a good address in Geneva.Dear JMGeneva,Thank you very much for your positive comment. Hope to welcoming you again.Best regards from the whole Team of the Bistro

It is sometimes hard to meet expectations when one has such excellent memories of previous visits. So after our kir royal we were slightly taken aback when (1) the salad then came as part of the menu d'été was rather insignificant and wilted; (2) the waiter forgot to bring the bread with the starter (for which he later on profusely apologised) and (3) the amuse gueule announced for the menus apparently did not apply to à la carte meals.I found my starter (gaspacho with focaccio and goat cheese - see picture) slightly farfetched but the combination of the goatcheese with the gaspacho was good. From then on things looked up and all was forgiven, because the main dishes were glorious: the small octopus a la plancha on a bed of saffron risotto with artichoke bottoms mixed in, as well as the freshly made steak tartare. I had a little advokaat in between (a Dutch/Belgian alcoholic delicacy) and then dessert managed to keep up the standards with my galette with almond cream and poached Valais apricot with delicate icecream. So we left happy with the intention to return soon.Dear robert_bos53First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write this review following your dinner at restaurant ‘Les Curiades’The comments of our guests are extremely helpful to improve our services: we used to attach great importance to it.That’s why I would like to present you my apologies if we missed some of your expectations in the beginning of your menu But we are more than happy to read that we have been able to meet your expectations at the end!!Hope to see you soon in our restaurantYours sincerely,Pascal Cloetens

Went here for lunch in the "chasse" (game") season. The restaurant doesn't look like much on the outside, but is in fact a very nice, quaint bistro with lots of authentic details and bric-a-brac (notice the collection of classic hairdryers and soap dispensers in the bathroom!). Service is quick and friendly even though the restaurant was completely full. Portions are generous, but you can take away if you don't finish. We had two excellent game dishes, hare casserole with onions & bacon and deer with chocolate sauce and all the traditional game side dishes: chestnuts, spätzli, red cabbage and pumpkin purée. Desserts (crème brulée and amaretti mousse) OK but not remarkable. Impressive wine list and good choice of wine by the glass; we had the Chasselas, Gamay and Zweigelt which were all very good.If you feel like a good honest plate of food in a warm atmosphere (and willing to pay a bit more for quality), do not hesitate to book a table here.

We had lunch at Laz Nillo. The chef who works in service is very friendly and even offered us the espresso. The food is typical French: I had the entrecôte Parisienne with salad and fries, my friend the risotto. The food was very good!Dear Jamesfood,We thank you for your visit and your post. But please do not mention the free espresso, everybody will expect the same after this! What else? :)Kind regards,Mickaël & Philippe

Been there several times for business lunch and dinner. Always good (pricey) food, ok service. Been today again for an executive lunch with a very expensive check, before the waiter runs after you in the street because he forgot 3 limoncelo on it ... what a lack of courtesy. Will not go again.

This is a very old restaurant in the Geneva area that has its regulars and aficionados, and there are very good reasons for this. First the food is good, not reaching stellar levels but of really superior quality, mixing some classicals (from perch filets, to tartare) to somewhat more sophisticated products (like lobster), so everybody can find something to its taste. Second its unpretentious: the service is professional and efficient, the protocol is followed but there absolutely nothing snobbish there, quite the contrary, simple and somewhat familiar. Third the prices are quite reasonable for what you get. So no surprise it's a pleasure returning "Chez Livron". Now, why not 5 stars in that case? Just because the desserts are really not up to the level off the rest of the menu... the place probably misses a pastry chef (?), so you've got to choose between ice cream with fruits or fruits with ice-cream... some of them have nice presentations but still a very limited choice and not all of the options are convincing.

We went for a dinner. This is a Michelin star restaurant. Though the prices are on higher side, it’s worth every penny spent. Everything from the appetisers to entree and dessert are cooked to perfection. The food is accompanied by a great selection of wines. Tried baby squids and lobster tail. Both were flavourful and delicious. Thank you a lot for your visit and your very nice comment. We are glad that you enjoyed spending time at our restaurant. Our menu changes every five weeks so that we always work with fresh and local products. We will be pleased to welcome you again soon.Stéphane

That was an office Christmas dinner, so the place sounded right with enough place to accomodate groups and formulas that sound fiendly to share. But the result came as disappointing: too much noise, too hot (because of the broilers), too smelly. When you go out, your clothes seem like you will never be able to wear them again. The meat is ok, the fondues are average. For 60 CHF per person with wine but no dessert, this is not what I call good value.
