Had a lovely lunch here with friends who we had not seen for years. The smaller towns in the Haute Garonne are not renowned for gourmet experiences. And in any case there are not many restaurants open on Monday. Du Gout a la Toque is in the centre of Leguevin, in the part of town that is partly pedestrianised. We had no difficulty finding parking (free, on the street). We had made a reservation, and glad we did so. The restaurant has about two dozen covers on wet days, and it filled up. Locals, families, regulars seemed to be the main customers. The four of us opted for the simple menu du jour: 3 courses for â¬13.50. First course a fresh vegetable pot with creamy mild goat cheese; followed by shredded duck topped with parmentier potato - this was superb; and a fresh home-made creme brûlée. Service was quick without being rushed. We actually stayed for over two hours because we had a lot of conversation. Being lunchtime we declined local wine and beer which were offered at attractive prices. On fine days you can eat outside. If you're looking for an uncomplicated, good value, nicely prepared menu du jour lunch this is the place for you. I rated the food as **** because of the skilful manner in which simple food was prepared, cooked, and presented

Absolutely fantastic restaurant, 13â¬50 for a three course meal with a glass of wine included. Pleasant French speaking staff, food was superb and the atmosphere great. Would definitely recommend. This small but fantastic restaurant.

Une amie habitant dans la région m'a fait découvrir ce restaurant du golf. Accueil chaleureux et service très sympathique. Grande salle espacée, belle terrasse en hauteur avec vue sur le golf. Très bon tartare de saumon pris avec une belle salade comme accompagnement.

First I was very happy to see that Paulaner Beer is served here! Even the restaurant was fully booked they managed to give us two places at the bar. The service was very friendly and even with a full house very efficient! The tapas were OK but not very special either. Other plates that were served around us looked really good! I will come back.

We had not booked a table and were lucky to be early for lunch. when we left, the restaurant was packed. I wouls recommend booking.Daughter (9) and I had the 17⬠menu, with me taking tempura fried vegetables, the daily grill and tea gourmand (6⬠supplement). Daighter had egg cocotte with mushrooms and cappa sausage, lamb noisette with couscous and mixed vegetables, finishing off with a pain perdu. The other half took a foi gras plateau (and ate half of my steak as I was unable to finish the generous piece) and coffee gourmand. Son (6) had the childrsn' menu with a steak hache with French fries and for dessert ice cream. Son ordered "vanilla ice cream with decoration". Which he got. All food was excellent. The tempura fried vegetables made me consider buying a deep frier to be able to cook the same at home. The home made fries were fantastic and judging from the speed that my son devoured his steak, it was ecxellent as well. Verdict from daughter : "When can we come back?"Some few remarks on the food, though. I am always disappointed when a children's menu does not contain vegetables. Give kids a chance to learn to eat vegetables, please. Also the pain perdu was a bit on the heavy side, caused by a very compact bread.The staff was was very nice and gave excellent service, even the waitress who was on her first day. Son even got to flirt with one of them....We did have to remind them about the bottle of water and one of the glasses of wine never appeared (we opted against reminding about this).The restaurant decoration was calm and tasteful, the chairs were comfortable and the ladies/men's room was clean and tastefully deorated.This restaurant will not disappoint you.

Nous avons apprécié notre soirée tapas chai nous.il y en a pour tous les goûts, charcuterie,viande,produit de la mer tarifs entre 6 et 12 euros pour les 4 st Jacques snackees.Après il y a le plateau à 22 euros mais j ai préféré prendre plusieurs plats à 6 ou 7 euros qui sont assez généreux.Le vin est très bon et on peut avoir une bonne bouteille du Roussillon pour 12 euros.grand choix de vin que l on peut acheter au détail.Bon accueil.Se situe ds une zone commerciale.On y reviendra avec plaisir.

It is not so easy to find this place as it is round the back of a small centre commercial centre. At the front of the centre is "curves" the fitness place for women.Anyway once you find it you are in for a treat! The owner speaks perfect English so he can easily explain the delights of the menu. There is the usual 'plat du jour' etc for the midday menu and it is a surprise to find what it will be. The food quality is excellent and you will not be disappointed.At other times of the morning. You can enter for coffee and cakes.

Nous sommes revenus gouter la.nouvelle carte et sommes pas déçus encore une fois .le foie gras avec une gelee de betterave excellent et original , la soupe gratinée au comté est genereuse et gourmande. Le camembert rôti aux petits lardons et oignons est tout simplement extra et pour finir un cheese cake et sa pate croustillante est une tuerie !!Bref ce n est qu une confirmation d un restaurant qui ne desemplit pas et qui sait se remettre en cause chaque jour et surtout donner le maximum de plaisirs aux clients .

We went here around 8pm, me and my boyfriend, to eat some desert and drinksome wine. When we arrived we went on the terrace to sit at a table but the waiter came and redirect us on the other terrace saying that all of the tables are reserved (not true, nobody came and more than half were empty even at 9.30 pm when we left). We set at the table that we were given, looked at the menu, waited....waited....waited....., after 30 min someone decided to come and take our order. We said that we would want 2 glasses of wine, 2 deserts, and a bottle of mineral water. As soon as we said desert he stopped listening, rolled his eyes, put on a bitchy face and said âahhhh you only want desert? Then, well, i have to take your tablecloth, its just for the people that eatâ. He literally took off the tablecloth, made everyone around look at us, practically embarrassed us in front of everybody that was eating there and made us feel humiliated.....Ofcorse, he directly made his opinion that we are just 2 poor persons that want to occupy his table and pay as less as possible. And ofcorse because he didnât even pay attention to our order he assumed we want the free water that they give and brought tap water....Never gonna go here again, never ever felt so humiliated in a restaurant.Dear Bianca, I m very very sorry about your feed back of Don Peppino. That s not a good way to treat our customers and I m totally agree with you. I have a discussion with the manager and waiters about this. I would be happy to offer you a second chance, please contact me directly if you want To come back and taste the Italian food we cook.
