What a gem we stumbled into to celebrate a special Birthday. A warm welcome on the beautiful patio outside, a delicious amuse and then onto our table inside. We choose a 3 course menu and one delicious (and beautifully displayed) course was followed by the next. This chefs not only knows what he is doing, he loves doing it as well! So do the hosts who serve the drinks and food!We will definitely return!

Nous nous sommes régalés. Câétait parfait. La décoration est très belle, le service très efficace et le soin apporté à la présentation des assiettes et irréprochable. Nous avions opté pour le menu du chef avec notamment de la biche et câétait excellent.Jâai beaucoup aimé le fait de sonner à la porte dâentrée, câest un peu comme si nous étions des amis venus dîner.Je recommande cette adresse à 100%

I was in the area with family on vacation and we stopped in Eijsden because it just seemed like an interesting little town, based on an intenet search. We made a reservation here, again, because of the reviews at various internet sites.We were not disappointed in this restaurant or Eijsden. Both the city and the restaurant are HIDDEN GEMS. The food was excellent, the views of Eijsden from the restaurant were great, and food was fairly reasonably priced (a little pricey, but to be expected from a nice restaurant in Holland.Why not a 5 rating - the service was VERY slow and unresponsive. My family were seated quickly, but were ignored by the wait staff for approximately 20 minutes. We almost left! The food took quite some time to arrive! Fortunately, the weather was nice and my family and I were seated at a table outside - so we enjoyed the experience.The experience was so lovely that I would return, again, and just anticipate slow service. In nice weather, sit outside. I so enjoyed Eijsden and this restaurant that my wife and I are planning a vacation in the area next summer so my wife can share in the experience.

Tijdens een flinke wandeling hier gelunched. Dat was een goede keuze: een terras (achter) met prachtig uitzicht, heerlijke broodjes en erg leuke bediening. Omdat het niet aan de hoofdweg ligt is er ook weinig herrie ven verkeer. We komen hier zeker nog eens terug.

Via via hadden we gehoord dat we hier moesten zijn voor Wagye runder vlees. Onze Gps was niet de beste reisleider om in Kasteel Altembrouck te geraken. Maar eens in het kasteelrestaurant aangekomen werd het een feest. Vooreerst de bediening, uitzonderlijk vriendelijk attent niet geforceerd maar echt. Zelden meegemaakt, tussen het personeel was er een heerlijk plagende chemie. Je hebt de keuze tussen een beperkt aantal menus. Specialisatie zijn de Wagye runderen. Als je uitleg vraagt over dit lekkere rundvlees wordt het vlees op voorhand op een bord aan je voorgesteld. Goedkoop is het niet maar wel uitzonderlijk lekker. Als je geen steak liefhebber bent is er een visalternatief, eend en lam aan aanvaardbare prijzen. De wijnkaart is een goede selectie van lekkere kwaliteitsvolle wijnen. Het was lang geleden dat we zo lekker geëten hebben. Op de grens tussen Nederland en België hebben we uitzonderlijk lekker geëten in een sfeervolle omgeving met een livebandje die de juiste toon vond en ons een heerlijke namiddag hebben bezorgd.

The reception was very friendly and personal. We really felt at home and very welcome. We had the eastern menu accompanied by fine wines. The chef was on top of his game and makes the difference. The food was well balanced, and I especially liked the bellpepper crème brulee. Well done. The main dish, lamb chops was good and solid. The chocolate desert was good, but the (abundant ) use of cream made it a tad heavy. The price quality ratio is excellent. This is a good, solid restaurant with a chef who knows the tricks and trade of classic French cooking.

During our stay at Klein Zwitserland we had lunch here once and two dinners. Everything tasted very well, the entrees, the mains and the desserts, accompanied by a very good bottle of wine selected by the staff. Staff friendly and helpful, atmosphere great and locals come on Sunday night to enjoy their dinner as well. Great terrace with a lovely view

A visit to the Atelier is always again a surprising journey along tastefully presented dishes with inventive combinations of first class products, accompanied by a fine variety of wines or non-alcoholic fruitjuicessappen. I only ate here. But the exerience was great. Very friendly staff. A great selection of wines and plenty of it. Modern well presentee dishes with a lot of variation and great selection of desserts. Im thinking about booking a room here in the future

We really enjoy this restaurant and we go there regularly. The food is really good but the only problem sometimes, is that it can be quite noisy. It really depends on which table you are. Anyway, I definitely recommend this restaurant, but don't forget to reserve in advance. As it isn't big, it might be difficult to get a table on the last minute.
