Exceptional dinner with cycling buddies after climbing Ventoux. Lots of delicious wine selected by the sommelier. Excellent weather for dining outside, plus there were heaters to ward off the cooling evening. Service was exceptional- delicious bread kept coming and they were very accommodating to provide a desert that wasn’t on the menu!!! This place is not to be missed.

Auberge St. Roch has only 16 seats, and no outdoor patio. It's decor is very plain. But the food is SPECTACULAR. Each plate is a small masterpiece of design and color, you could be in a 3-star in Dijon! If you are in Beaumes, do not miss having a mean here. Fine wine list of great local reds, tiny menu, it all adds up to something special. We went back the next night - and it was still great the second time. Go!

From our arrival to our departure we received nothing but excellent service and great food. I believe the restaurant has recently changed hands and we can only wish the new owners well. The young lady who waited on us was delightful and so helpful. We sat on the terrace at the back and from our table could watch the chef at work. He appeared to be working alone so it is extra amazing to note the quality of food he was producing.A small menu, but each bite was appreciated. At 29 euros for three courses and approx. 4 euros for a glass of wine we thought this great value.Just the kind of restaurant we love and were so lucky to find by chance in this small village a few miles from our holiday rental. Some parking available close by.

The Shovelhead Cafe

When I first came here almost a year ago I was truly blown away, the size of the portions, the quality of ingredients and the variety and size of the menu, they could cater for anyone and everyone with options from beef or chicken to fish. However when I returned, a day I had waited and longed for, I left most dissatisfied. A new menu means half the options as before and a real lack of variety. The true disappointment came when the burgers were brought out, almost a third smaller than they used to be and the classic French fried switched out to sloppy thick cut chips. The bacon on the ‘tripple cheese and bacon’ was just basic thin cut ham and a disturbing amount of pickles turned the bun back to a soft dough, impossible to hold with a modecom of dignity. I suspect it was over economisation that has leaded to the downfall, as with a lot of once good restaurants... never substitute quality of the food for quantity of sales and customers in the food and restaurant business! Lastly, with no openable windows and one measly fan without an oscillating option. What once was a delicious, family run establishment had stumbled into an over economised oven.

We went for dinner and had a high-quality menu. It was so delicious, we highly recommend to go there. The hosts are very friendly and speak english . And the „petit épeautre“ were made in an excellent combination. Today i bought 6 packages of „petit épeautre“ and will try to prepare it at home. All in all: Première qualité!!

We made reservations by telephone from California and I’m glad we did. It is deservedly popular. The young man at the front of the house was kind and welcoming. We had an excellent meal and one we’ll remember because of the imaginative presentations and wonderful flavors of the food.Isobel had the moules, sans shells, in a sauce to die for. I had an egg dish in a light foam sauce which was heavenly. Both dishes were decorated with flowers and we ate the lot!Next came cocquille and John Dory brochettes for Issy and a confit of lamb for me.A super, super meal and yes we’d come back in a heart beat!

Le Four a Chaux

I sympathize with how difficult it is to run a restaurant and what a struggle it is these days to be an entrepreneur in France. I understand that in Provence, businesses catering to tourists have about 8-12 weeks to make their living for the entire year. So I waited a few days before writing this review, hoping the memory would fade. It didn't. This was once a nice little restaurant, with good enough food and a pretty terrace decorated with hanging baskets of flowers surrounded by green. Then we had a change of ownership. Everyone is still quite nice, but the rest is a disaster.I went with my son and two friends three days ago and we all three ordered the menu at 16 euros, the least expensive of the lunch menu choices. We were told the menu included a green salad with roquefort and walnuts, followed by a tuna steak in a light tapenade sauce and dessert. The amuse bouche that started us off should have been a warning -- soggy little toasts covered by a nasty coating the color of delice de tomates but tasting like Elmer's Glue. We were then told there was no more roquefort and they had run out of nuts, so we were getting a greet salad with feta. Boring, and made with cheap cubes of industrial cheese. The tuna was frozen, and I don't mean before they brought it to the table. Three identical triangles of fish arrived on top of some greasy grain. On the thin tips, the fish was overcooked while in the slightly thicker middle it was still frozen. Our fourth lunch companion -- luckily allergic to tuna -- asked for chicken and lucked out. It was dry but relatively flavorful. The tuna was not in a tapenade "sauce" but rather had some mediocre tapenade tossed on top in a feeble attempt to mask the taste of the frozen fish (did I mention it was frozen) with a heavy dose of salty olives. Dessert consisted of small scoops of industrial ice cream covered in a fairly tasty whipped cream. All in all, a repulsive repast. Finally, the waitress was very nice. But the sun was beating down on the barren stone patio after a morning of rain. The baskets of flowers are gone now and the restaurant only had one working parasol. We complained of the heat and asked for some shade and when she began pushing and shoving a giant red umbrella toward our table, we were hopeful. Unfortunately, the family in the corner had complained first so the umbrella was for them and we simply sat and roasted until they finally finished their coffee and left We then moved the umbrella ourselves. But by then we were more well roasted than our fish. I may try again next year, or just wait for the next sign announcing new owers.

We had a dinner recently with a friend ->restaurant-critic and we all enjoyed the dinner, the presentation and the wine list. Even though Pascal is very shy with spices which makes the taste a bit weak, but also original to its produce. The restaurant is nicely located in a quaint Provence village parking no problem, nice outside terrace for the warm summer-nights. reserve before they are mostly fully booked Merci worldtravellerfrance pour votre avis Nos menus change tous les mois et les plats plus ou moins épicés aussiAu plaisir de vous recevoir au 6 à Table Cordialement + d’infos sur nos actus Facebook Le 6 à Table Restaurant Pascal Poulain #le6atable pascal-poulain.com

Visited twice in 6 hours, mainly because there wasn't really much choice.Lunchtime, Didn't get to see the menu because they were pretty much closed but, the chef rustled up a fantastic salad for us. Lovely, fresh ingredients well presented very tasty. One of the best meals I had all week.Dinner,Hmmmmm.Very limited menu of 4 starters and 4 mains.Mine was described as chicken but, welllllllll, maybe it was. But, the quality was rubbish - mainly fat and gristle. The waiter kept making mistakes with the order and seemed preoccupied with something/someone.A close run thing for the worst meal of the week.
