Breakfast was delightful, ordered the poached eggs, sausages, mushrooms and roasted tomatoes, generous quantities of each enjoyed each mouthful, certainly recommended. Other family members loved their orders of fried eggs with bacon, chicken panini , loaded avocado croissant. Efficient and friendly Service despite it being school holidays. We returned after our morning at Coolum Beach to enjoy their coffee and almond croissants ~ yummy

Lunch with friends glad they booked a tableAt the last minute I saw the tuna salad come out and changed my order, glad I did. The salad wes packed with fresh ingredients and herbs, tuna was cooked perfectly. The risotto was packed with fish really good, not quite Spanish standard but up there. Very nice location in a quiet square. Well worth a visit Mains were $20/25 each Very good quality and value

We've been long & regular patrons of the previous Default restaurant and could not have faulted it.We went on Panache Bistro's soft opening night and were really disappointed with the food and overall experience. Although friendly, the waiters had not taken any time to learn any of their menu. This is somewhat forgivable however, they didn't know anything about anything! I knew more from a quick through scan!!The food portions and quality had dropped vastly. We ordered a fillet steak and got a long flat, very average, cut of meat similar to a rump or sirloin. We also ordered their 'signature' ribs which was again, disappointing. You buy better from a pre-cooked bag in the shops.. All in all, for plates valued at over $35 each, we felt let down and have not returned again. This was their soft opening night but for price and quality, it was inexcusable. We will revisit and update our review however wanted to wait a few months to give them a chance to up their game!!Hi there! First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to explain your opinion and give us your feedback in such detailed manner. I would like, myself, to take the time to reply that I absolutely understand all your comments above and that overall, I am grateful you have understood that it was our first weeks of being open and things could not be perfect from day 1. I would've probably given the same feedback if I was on the other side. However, we know that a soft opening's first reason of being is to get feedback (good or bad) from our customers and it's also meant to help us grow and adjust what is not working that well! The first menu offered, was never meant to be a representation of what we are capable of presenting either, as we decided to do a soft transition between Default and Panache. Since then, we have changed the menu for what we would now be proud to say, is more a representation of my French Canadian roots; comfort/casual and well prepared dishes. We are proud to say that we smoke In house various of our meats, we make ALL our sauces from scratch (not powder sauces) and we don't buy then sale any items that have not been prepared by us at Panache - we are constantly readjusting what works and doesn't not work well in the kitchen as well as in FOH.I understand that you have felt let down in those first challenging weeks for us but thank you for understanding, in part, the situation! Please, feel free to come and say hi in the kitchen if you decide to visit us again as I am sure you will be positively surprised of what we are now presenting! Sandra

An unexpected delight. The atmosphere was just lovely . Laid back New Orleans jazz music , not so loud it overpowered the experience, beautifully laid tables, comfortable chairs, a simple appealing menu, great service, excellent food. The southern fried chicken our son oreded was delicious as was my fish of the day. Aircon as well on a warm day . The house specials were really reasonably priced and included a wine. Definitely recommend as an enjoyable experience.
