An outdoor terrace right in front of Amerongen Castle, a lazy warm summer evening that turns time timeless, a truly wonderful dinner, immaculate service ... Who says that perfection does not exist?We had one of the best dining experiences of the past few years in Bentinck, housed in the former stables of the castle. From amuse to friandise, and the four courses in between -- all were excellent, both in terms of taste and in terms of the aesthetics of presentation. The young waiting staff proved enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and attentive.If you should eat outside, don't forget to walk in to admire the splendid textile art (several meters long) by one of Holland's finest artists, Claudy Jongstra.Highly recommended!

Always a warm welcome and a cozy atmosphere in this small and friendly restaurant. We've been visiting for about 6 years and seen a few changes, but all for the better. The owners are friendly, caring and always prepared to discuss the menu (dietary requirements) and or a choice of wine which will compliment the excellent food. The staff have grown in maturity and skills which makes the whole dining experience "just right". A well above average restaurant that is prepared to serve a good steak or piece of fish with French fries in a mini basket. Always cooked to perfection!Just love it.

It is summer now in Europe but few weeks long it was raining and storming in Netherland. Last week we got lucky with the weather when the daughter of my husband invited us to have lunch in Tiel. The terrace or 3 zussen lies at a dijk with beautifull vieuw toward the river junction between the Waal river and Amsterdam Rijn canal with the back ground view of the long Willem Alexander bridge.The restaurant serves various lunch mealw, as well high tea things. At the main buildings where it lies behind the restaurant, man can have nice dinner when Holland's weather again strike. I recommend people when they are around in the area to try this very special restaurant in Tiel.

Restaurant Voltaire is new in our area and managed by Chef Marco Westmaas. We had a 7 course menu with exquisit tastes from all over the planet accompanied by some great wines. If you are prepared to travel a bit we certainly recommend the journey laid out by the chef. We were referred to this restaurant by the owner of Kasteel Ophemert, where we were staying that evening. This restaurant is less than one year old, but the food was outstanding. Our appetizers were gazpacho and Caesar salad. The entrees we selected were cod and Coq chicken. Both were cooked in a mixture of mushrooms, potatoes, and green beans. My wife chose from the three-course fixed price menu, so in addition to her Gazpacho and cod, she had a strawberry sauvignon custard-type dessert. Service was excellent. If you have a car or bicycle to get here, I would definitely recommend doing so.

We had a delicious dinner at Maxima with good wines. It is a very nice place with great service from the owners (cook and host) and their daughter. When the weather is nice you can have a table on the outside patio, also great for small groups. We heard about this place some time ago but struggled to book a table because they are hard to find on the internet. Hope this review helps. Their level of cooking and service deserves more attention. A welcome new discovery in the greater Buren area while many restaurants there struggle to keep their level of cooking up.Try Maximaal and you will not be disappointed.
