This review is about the restaurant "gastronomique" (right when entering the hotel) where we enjoyed a delicious "surf and turf" à la luxembourgeoise, filet de boeuf avec gamba géante et aïoli...Tender and tasty.Local and regional dishes are available as well as international classic treats (trout, fresh lobster...).Service is good and plates come with huge servings and nice decoration.Wine list with large choice, also white Lux. wine from the Moselle (Riesling,Pinot gris...).Ambiente,guests and service are mostly "old school"/classic.Good place for celebrations.In the "Brasserie" (left when entering the hotel) you can grab the dish of the day for a good price and also test the Luxembourgish specials.The region is well known for nice walking or hiking trails... good idea if you want to eliminate some calories after enjoying lunch/dinner at the Hotel Meyer.40 minutes drive from Lux. city, plenty of free parking available.Maybe closed during off season (winter), check opening times and make reservations especially for the w.e.

Stayed for one night here. Room adequate and clean if basic.Service was ok, not too friendly but nice enough. Basic breakfast in the morning not buffet only one serving of bread cheese and ham. Lady serving me seemed rather put out when I asked for another pot of coffee! (But it was good coffee)Good hotel for the price paid. I would stay again.

We attended a special dinner event here. We had six courses and everyone of them was of an extremely high standard and served efficiently. We have decided to go back there for another meal in the very near future and will highly recommend it to friends. The staff were very busy but did not give the impression that they were under any pressure. They remained friendly throughout. The Saint-Jacques poêlées, risottoe aux truffes et poireaux was amazing.

This is a landmark Hotel in Berdorf! ...not only it is located in the middle of great surroundings and forest but also it possesses the style and atmosphere of a great rural Luxembourgish hotel. Not luxurious but cosy and with friendly atmosphere and with very good international cuisine!...and highly professional staff! Great for weekends and to get away from everything!

Very nice discovery. The Flammkuch's were excellent as was the cremant.Plenty of space for the kids to play outdoors, yet a petty no playthings are there, but that's no real issue.Next to the food their bread needs to be mentioned: it was delicious! The dame blanche dessert was probably the best dame blanche I ever tasted! So try it!

We ate out several times during our recent visit to Luxembourg and enjoyed all our meals, but the Vieux Moulin was undoubtedly the best dinner we had there. Everything was beautifully planned, cooked and presented and tasted delicious. The combinations were inventive and interesting. The setting was elegant and the service attentive but not intrusive. We chose one of the set menus and enjoyed every course. It was not a cheap meal but it was very good value because it provided so much pleasure. We would recommend this restaurant unreservedly.

By far one of the best restaurants I know and presumably the best in the wider area. I know a lot of restaurants in the wider area as I lived in the region for almost 20 years. The staff is friendly and highly professional and the quality is superb. The prices are absolutely fair for the given quality.
