Reviews on Fast Food food in Savannakhet, Savannakhet Province, Laos. Savannakhet, officially named Kaysone Phomvihane (Lao: ໄກສອນ ພົມວິຫານ; Thai: ไกสอน พมวิหาน) and previously known as Khanthabouli (ຄັນທະບູລີ), is a city in western Laos and the capital of the Savannakhet Province. With a population of 120,000 (undated), it is the second-largest city in Laos, after Vientiane. The city is the birthplace of Kaysone Phomvihane, the first leader of Laos from independence in 1975 to 1992, and was named after him in 2005. Although the old French colonial quarter of the town, along the Mekong River-front, is depressed and crumbling, the town's proximity to Thailand's booming economy has brought about new commercial development in the northern part of the town, near both the river crossing and the bus terminal.

It is next to the Lao House. Disappointed with the service and food. Do not food which we wanted even when it is in the menu. Seems that they were not interested in serving us more when we ordered a simple meal. Sorry for the delay in this reply. I'm a manager in this restaurant. we found the problem as you recommended already. So our service will be improved immediately. Please accept our deepest apologies. I chose an egg sandwich, based on the pics in the menu - the sandwiches looked good and authentic, two thin slices of bread with various fillings. When she came to take my order the first thing the woman said rudely was 'why take out of book?!', meaning two pages that had been removed from their plastic covers when I got the menu. I would have left then but had already started my beer so ordered the egg sandwich. It was two partly fried eggs plonked on top of a pile of lettuce leaves, with a crust of bread under and another on top. Nothing like the sandwiches in the pics, nothing like a sandwich!
