We stopped at Gabes for fried shrimp on our way to Florida, such fresh shrimp, fried perfectly and hot. Long lines in drive through and dining area, but quick and efficient. Only downside, minimal choices on menu, I like something other than fries, but nothing else to choose from for sides. I also LOVE the very soft, very crushed ice, and they had wonderful, almost shaved crushed ice! They are right on the south side of I-10 at the Rayne, La. (or Frog City) exit 87. Easy on and easy off!
I ordered a turkey sub with veggies. It was all fresh and really good and the restaurant was nice and clean. I recommend this Subway.
Soft-serve ice cream & signature shakes top the menu at this classic burger & fries fast-food chain.
On January 30, 2015 we stopped here for lunch. One person from the staff was horrible. We were talking among ourselves as we were walking into the restaurant. One of the employees asked "are you talking to me?". We said we weren't. Nothing disrespectful to or about this employee was said. She simply decided to start screaming at us like a banshee. Well, after some words were said, it goes without saying we didn't eat here. Good riddance.
The food was very good. The workers were very accommodating; we had a large group and they handled it with ease. When I do not know what you want to eat, I always rely on Popeyes.
