Cornwall is blessed with a great many wonderful fish and chip shops. The reason I think is all the produce is local and fresh. The Fish Bar is NOT one of those wonderful fish and chip shops.I visited last week, the chips still had peel on, the fish was so minutely small it's a wonder it was not thrown back into the sea (it was supposed to be a medium size.To add insult to injury it was grossly over priced.I suggested that they visit Francines in Launceston to see what quality and value is all about.

Visited with my parents and we enjoyed beautiful battered cod and haddock, the lightest batter with such a satisfying crunch. Good thick locally baked bread cakes in butter and Cornish tea to wash it all down. Really great and welcoming service. I'm already looking forward to a return visit

Have had takeaway twice recently, quick service and all dishes tried were nice. The curry is really good, as was the duck in plum sauce. Friendly staff. The 5 star hygiene rating gives me confidence. Used to be a regular in another local Chinese but since discovering this one I do prefer it.
Only spotted this place just before the May bank holiday. Small but open good hours serving well priced range of straightforward takeaway food not least bacon baps. Beware it's close to a junction and quickie parking can be difficult and in my case was frowned upon by a local.
Cornwall's First fried ice cream rolls point of sale!! We are a family run business with the customers experience at it's Heat" YOU choice of what you want to make into ice cream"
Came by on last visit to Liskeard. Business appeared to have shut down. Eventually found the FB page in which the owners explain they will not be reopening this desert/ice cream cafe again but may in the future try to set up a mobile version.

Staying nearby for a few days and fancied a Chinese but didnât want takeaway. Hot Wok had ok reviews so decided to give it a go. At 6pm on a Saturday we were the only diners so the atmosphere was lacking but the takeaway was busy. Decor needs a bit of work but the staff were friendly and the food was good. Mixed starter was very tasty. Reasonable prices.

Basically served Nepalese food followed by traditional variety of Indian food. We use no artificial colourings or preservatives.all our spices are fresh and carefully crushed and ground to give the best possible taste.
Online ordering on the website was very frustrating as it took us about 20 mins to find and choose everything we wanted then filled in all our details and finally went to pay. We then had to wait several minutes for the restaurant to respond, which it didn't, to find online ordering doesn't work! The site should have an out of order sign or something so customers don't waste their time. However, after phoning the order through without a problem and waiting an hour till it was delivered most of the meals were good. The sauces were delicious but the lamb was dry, chewy and contained gristly bits! Lamb is usually quite tender so won't be trying that again!

Helluva pasties are my favourite pasties by far! They have take away trailers that are situated at certain points at particular times daily. They also supplied cocktail pasties for my wedding and arrived at exactly the time arranged. Everyone loved them and they didnât last long! Highly recommended. Oh, you can also buy them from some shops frozen to bake at home.

We had some of the pasties and quiches last year and they were excellent. Some of the best quiches we have had so well worth a visit. They will make them for larger events or if you phone the day before they will make the quiches to order, small and large.
