My esteemed spouse and I are in Kalambaka with a friend, and after a busy morning of monastery hopping ,a chicken gyro was just what we needed. We'd heard chicken time was the place to go and based on those recommendations and the number of people in and out of the place we opted to try it. It was great! We all three had the chicken gyro, filled with tzatziki sauce, flavorful chicken and fresh veggies. Very inexpensive..very easy to find..very delicious..Don't be a chicken, give it a try!!

We came here for lunch, a family of 13.Everyone had something to satisfy himself.I had the traditional garlic bread that was so delicious. We had a giant pizza with Greek olives. The salads we're fresh, prepared to order. It's a family run business with a smile.We had such a great time so we decided to come again the next day too.

We came in hot and hungry after completing a rafting trip down Akliakmonas. Service was fast and the food was quick to arrive at the table. We each ordered the XXL chicken gyros which were devoured in minutes. The chicken was juicy and tender and the fries, tsasiki and tomatoes all fresh.

This shows as the number 1 restaurant in Kalambaka, which is why we sought it out. Have to say that we were disappointed. The location is not great! There are about four tables along the pavement on a reasonably busy road. The choices were limited. It really does feel more like a pub that offers food rather than a restaurant. Having dined at Meteora the previous evening and had a lovely experience I feel that we should have gone back there! Donât feel that this one deserves to be number one!
