Getting charged â¬1 for a glass of tap water??? Thatâs after my friend and I ordered 2 glasses of prosecco, a quarter of red wine and 2 delicious but very salty pizzas. Greed has gone too far in the sleepy town of Brixen :(

My wife and I had dinner at the gasthof Haller in Bressanone / Brixen. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We sat in the balcony section that had a view over the city. Our meal of mixed grill was tasty and well prepared. The braised ribs were particularly notable. The Haller is located about a 2-3 min drive (15-20 min walk) outside the main city center up a hill, which accounts for the views. It is well with it to get well prepared locally source dishes.

Once again Brix 0.1 lived up to my expectations. I had waited 2 years to come back to this magical place and again I was entranced by the location, atmosphere, attention to detail, the carefully executed epicurean experience and the attention of the amazing wait staff. Somehow I danced the whole night away on New Year's Eve and welcomed in the new year/day. We experienced both day and night meals in our 3 week visit to this beautiful town. Our first night staying in Bressanone we stopped in this cozy restaurant to warm up and get a bite to eat. We were not that hungry so we ordered the Tyrolean Barley soup which was delicious and definitely warmed us up. This is a great spot for trying the local cuisine. The service is excellent and they have a great salad/ vegetable bar along with many local dishes.

I had a delicious sous vide salmon and great wine in a comfortable, fairly upscale and large restaurant. Others, who were in a more casual mood ordered pizza which the waitstaff was somewhat displeased with. Dropped in with friends, the terrace and view amazing the food is fresh and well prepared. Would go back, we turned up almost at the end of lunch service, and if you know this area if the kitchen us closed it's closed - but no problem here.

What a special treat. I ate here for dinner with my colleagues on the balcony. The staff is impeccable. From their professional, yet cheerful demeanor, and dress to their careful place setting and serving, to the amazing food. The food was memorable for its quality and flavorful delciousness. The chicken was fantastic with an incredible crispy piece of skin atop a juicy, perfectly cooked breast. This has been the finest meal I have had in Italy thus far, and one of the best meals and dining experiences I have ever had anywhere. Thank you to the Staff of the Elephant restaurant for a memorable dining experience of both food and service!

We stayed here one night on the way home and we enjoyed our stay very much.Although we came for the Einhorn restaurant the rooms in the hotel, the garden, the sauna and especially the service of the staff we appreciated highly. The hotel price is very reasonable when compared with e.g. the center of Merano where we stayed in two hotels. From 15 to 17 hrs there is free tea and coffee with sweets. The breakfast in the morning is great, eggs in any form you wish, fruit, cakes, cheeses, meat, espresso/cappuccino, tea, juice, very complete! What made a nice surprise was that when we just finished our breakfast we got a small birthday cake (the staff had noticed from my passport that it was my birthday): it tasted delicious. The two star restaurant Einhorn is worth it's rating. Two menus to choose from (or the combination of both) and superb wines accompanying the dishes. We had an enjoyable evening.We will probably go back during our next holiday in the area.Dear guest,thank you that you take the time to write such a fantastic valuation about our hotel.
