It is the only restaurant I have visited with my colleagues at lunch since working in Varberg 6 months ago as the food is amazing! It is sadly just a week day lunch restaurant, so I canât visit on weekend. The menu, like many Swedish lunch places had four offerings for the dagens lunch, with a salad buffet and coffee. The steamed buns are amazing and I had one other option for that was Asian inspired which was also delicious.Itâs not that an obvious place, so if youâre ever visiting Varberg in the week, make you look it up and go!

We were on a road trip with family from Stockholm and were staying in Varberg. There were 4 adults and 2 children. The restaurant was promoted as a relaxing place right on the beachfront with simple but tasty food. We booked a table as it was mid summer and is close to a popular camping site. We had a great table and such an easy place to take children. You order food and drinks inside and they sing out your number and you collect your food. We all ate pizzas. Delicious. Service great. Relaxed atmosphere. Great position and view.Afterwards we walked back along the beach, caught the road 'train' back to Varberg.Highly recommended.

We were ther 4 persons, table booked but not prepared in time. The food was really excellent but unfortunately service was not. It is a pity as otherwise they would have got ten points!We took a special menu which is called Meze , 16-dishes menu and costs 370: SEK per person. But it means good value for money. I strongly recommend this restaurant but do not expect service be on the same level as the food. It is not. So it is nothing to have if you would like to celebrate a special occasins or so.

After a walk around town I ended up in the closest restaurant to the hotel. The steaks are served on wooden mounted cast iron plates, I understand they keep the food warm but are never ideal in my opinion. The food though very good and a good selection of beers. Free wifi but you have to ask for the key. The restaurant though is very dark and difficult to see your food or even the menu.

Very, very nice meal. Only the finest raw ingredients. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. It was delightful to be able to boast to my English visitors about the restaurant scene in Varberg. I had herb-crusted plaice for my main and it was delicious.

I love this old fashon calssic cafe´s. This is mordern but they cept the old style. Lovely bakery. They also serve classic Swedish food to lunch. Cosy to sit down and have a chat. Wifi. There is also a garden to sit in at the backside.

During our 3 nights stay in Varberg we chose this great restaurant twice. Excellent seating area outside with heaters to enjoy this year round! Prompt and alert staff who really makes you feel welcome. Outstanding food for the Scandinavian foodies we are! Enjoyed the shrimp sandwich (A MUST!) which was enough to feed two - perfect lunch! Next time it was time for the white asparagus and antipasti followed by con fit duck leg on a lovely smooth truffle risotto and cod, both huge portions.Good selection of wines to pair with food.

I have been seduced by a dessert. Not that the main course was bad ( it was a fantastic balanced fish dish !) nor was the wine, and the service was superb and welcoming ( the waiter could even speak French it turned out :-) BUT I have never eaten such a tasteful chocolate dessert. I have no words to describe it ... If I could I would write a symphony about it ... but just like the art of the 4 violins on the wall inspires the inner music when you eat something really good, the composition of "The Desert " with its 3 chocolate ingredient seduced me to come back .... and I have ... and each time it gets better. If you want to taste for yourself, you have to hurry because they close soon for the season.

The restaurant is a little out from the centre of Varberg. Luckily we were with friends who knew the restaurant. The restaurant serves both international and local cuisine. The dishes were beautiful presented and the taste was perfect. A visit to Havanna's is not complete without some rum and the restaurant offers a great selection.

Johnâs place is excellent, donât think just go!I could tell you about the menu which had the perfect number of options, the food which was excellent, flavoursome, interesting and delicious, the service which was friendly, attentive yet relaxed and the ambiance which was lively without being loud but really you must go and experience it all for yourself!
