Everything about this restaurant is great, from the warm welcome, the extensive and very reasonably priced menu, the excellent food and wine and friendly staff, all served up in tasteful surroundings in the centre of this lovely historic town. These are the ingredients for a great little restaurant. Thanks La Galetiere, we had a fantastic evening

We had a three course set meal here, arriving quite late. It was so very welcome as the only other place open was a kebab house! Good interesting food, well cooked and presented. A reasonable price too

A very French restaurant with a pasta theme although I had an entrecôte steak. Friendly service. Opens evening for about two hours. Difficult to find without satnav and even then itâs not well illuminated. Itâs near to a humped bridge over the Cherbourg to Paris railway.

We stayed just outside Valognes last week and used this place quite a bit for 'menu de jour' and coffees. Excellent tasty food - serving staff are especially friendly and coped well with our limited French. Quirky interior with almost industrial tables and 1960s metal stools. Food was served so quickly as well! Yes, there were burgers but they were from local butchers and about as far from MacDonalds soggy muck as you can get! Merci!

We stopped here cause it was #1 on Tripadvisor. We had a lovely lunch- great crepes and the staff were very friendly. The organic cider was lovely too!Thank you for your notice!
