We have eaten here several times before and can report that the restaurant has continued to provide good food and service. The menu is interesting and allows the one to chose from a number of options for how many courses one wants to eat, rather than the usual set number of courses. This is ideal for those how find four courses to much for them.The dining room is pleasant and comfortable.Parking can sometimes be difficult in the immediate vicinity.I would recommend this restaurant.

We were looking for a place in which to eat on a Monday evening, many restaurants in France are closed on Mondays, and one of our French friends suggested L'Abre Vagabond. We were not disappointed.The restaurant is in an idyllic setting amid the trees and fields of this little known part of France. The restaurant is approached via narrow roads, fortunately there are signs.On arrival we received a warm and courteous welcome from Monsieur Manier.The dining room is not large, but is calm and one is surrounded by books and works of art. This is a restaurant within a bookshop. On the first visit we were offered a simple menu consisting of a starter, a choice of main courses and a choice of two desserts. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, being based on local organic produce.The wine list was interesting. All of the wines are organic and although being used to French wine lists, these wines were all new to us, but help was at hand, Monsieur came to our rescue and suggested a wine to complete our main courses. His choice was well received and as bonus was good value for money.The whole experience was delightful, even the understated background music seemed appropriate. We enjoyed our visit so much that we returned the following week.I understand that during the day, tapas and plates of cheese and charcuterie are available.I would recommend booking.

It is not easy to get here, if the 10 rooms at the establishment are booked other options are barely acceptable, but your efforts will be rewarded. It is more than eating a great 8 course dinner. You will be treated like an honored guest. Both Marcons (Regis the son and Jacques the father) will greet you, you will be invited for a kitchen tour and be served and spoiled by an incredible crew of waiters, managers and sommeliers. At 210 Euro, the meal is a relative bargain (comparable 3 Michelin star restaurants in Paris charge up to 350). So, enjoy being pampered and having a true epicurean treat.

We so enjoyed this restaurant - great atmosphere, delightful staff and .........absolutely delicious galettes (mains) and crepes (pudding!). The staff were so friendly and all the customers were really enjoying themselves. I had read some great reviews about l'EPICEA & was really looking forward to visiting the establishment.We ate here last night and the food and service was excelent.The ingredients were seasonal, fresh and cooked to perfection. The desserts are stunning. Michelin-star level food in a unpretentious, relaxed atmosphere.Looking forward to another visit.Thank you so much, I hope to see you again in the restaurant my down under friend and maybe in Brisbane ASAP.Cédric
