Nice small place where expats hang out and some foreign tourists too. Has a clean atmosphere and good pricing on food and drinks. People are friendly here and can give you advise if you need some to get around.

We first went to big apple to grab lunch as there is a nice sea view from the outside seats. We felt that as a couple we were definitely getting less attention than the male customers but when the men bough the waitresses a round of jelly shots it became clear why. The bar at night is defiantly a bit seedy with older western men hanging out with the local girls (if you travel Asia you know the type) but we didn't feel unwelcome. In the evening big pool games of killer broke out which were great to watch as some of the players have serious skills. One of the better players asked us to play one night and we explained that we were terrible so from then on she would smile when she saw us and come and say hello. We ate there a couple of times and I actually really enjoyed every meal we had though we did stick to local dishes. Beers were 65 so after a day of diving it was a great place to sit and watch everyone. Your guaranteed a few laughs at some drunk western guys expense but it's all fun and games. The waitresses certainly got friendlier as we returned.

Mediocre food. Lunch, service water available free. Dinner, must order bottled water for $ and landfill plastic. Wine has two prices. They charge you MORE if you buy a bottle to enjoy with dinner instead of less. Which means if you want to buy a bottle, it is actually a better value to order 2 "free " glasses of house wine then pay take out price for your bottle than to pay the dine in surcharge. Silly but true. Personally I like Robbie, but he needs a reality check as a business man. Trying to squeeze the customer for every last peso is not a recipe for loyal clientele.

You have to go there! First of all: the food is the best we had in weeks! Especially the vegetable curry was sooo nice. The pizza was very nice with great fresh tomato sauce. Very italian! Overall the food made us so happy. :-)The owner is a very lovely man, who treats his workers very well. Also the service staff is fast and friendly. Prices are good. The place is very comfortable as well. I would love to eat here everyday. We will come as often as we can!! :-) Thank you so much!

OK, I must admit I had schnitzel Viennese style and a cordon bleu for lunch and dinner. Now you may say: you are in Asia, why you eat this stuff? I'm living in Singapore and did not have these dishes since years! Both was tasty and as nearly as good as in Austria. For the cordon bleu the cook should use a more hearty cheese, but never mind.If I will be in Puerto Galera another time, I will surely eat here again.

I've been there several times with family and friends and always enjoy coming back. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food is great. All I can say is the food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. Me personally I highly recommend to visit this resto the staffs are very accomodating and the food is always delicious. We had a great vacation here in puerto galera resto veranda helped to make it that way because of the best feeling while eating the food their prepared additional the beautiful place the view. I am glad to see that quality resists with time. After four years from my first visit food is still great, good choice of wines(not easy in the Philippines) and a friendly atmsphere. I couldn't find a sort of pasta that I didnt lik, and I tried like 5-6 types. Carpaccio like in the good places of Europe, delicious pizza, and a real caprese(when bufala is available-also difficult to find in that part of the world). One can see that the owners try hard to keep a part of Italy alive. Right on the beach, this is one of the first restaurants you will notice if you arrive by boat. There is a large sign stating it is a steakhouse. The menu extends beyond just steak to a good variety of both Western and Filipino food. Service is not great and food is mediocre at best but relatively inexpensive for a tourist trap. A downside is because it is pretty much open air, they allow smoking. So those with the nicotine habit ruin the air for the rest of us.
