We are devotees of the cuisine of central Italy. But, being coastal Californians, we began to feel withdrawal symptoms after a few weeks without truly fresh fish. Italian friends from Lake Como suggested we make the 1-hour trip to Civitanova in Le Marche and dine at Galileo. The restaurant is right on the beach and you can make a day of it by renting an umbrella and lounge chairs and catching some sun on the Adriatic shore either before or after a fantastic dining experience. The seafood choices were numerous, the preparation was perfect and the presentation matched that of the finest restaurants we have experienced. Chef Maria Rosa Tarantini and her husband, Stefano, own and operate the restaurant and the beach facility, including a snack and beverage 'shack' for those who prefer to eat in sunbathing attire and on the beach. The Waitstaff, Nicola and Simone, were welcoming and attentively engaging. We look forward to several return visits over the rest of the summer.

Excellent service, a very good meal at a reasonable price. What more could you want at 30 degrees Celtius in the evening?We were served an excellent plate of pasta, with god wine of he house and a very good second course and vegetables.The service was eally attentive without being excessive.we did not stay at the hotel, so we can'tsay anything about that.Dear guest,Thank you for your positive and useful comment. I was in Porto Potenza Picena last Friday and I've visited this amazing Restaurant, Giri Beach. I wanted to congratulate all the staff and owner of that place Laura Giri for the good food they provide and also for the amazing customer service. definitely, i will recommend. I will also come back next year. it's just Magnifique!

Well, if anybody can beat this fabulous celebration at Villa Anton then please do say! Course upon course upon course of wonderful seafood - every type imaginable. This was definitely a feast for the senses. Beautifully presented & absolutely delicious. Service was incredibly rapid considering there were nearly 200 wedding guests and the food just kept coming. Hubby & I admitted defeat around course 8 which was very early on into this magnificent dining experience!Villa Anton sits in lovely grounds and apparently can cater for up to 4 weddings at any given time. On arrival our wedding party was escorted to a section of the grounds where marquees were set up and a fantastic display of antipasti was on offer. An imposing fountain sits in front of the villa. The dining room we were in was decorated out really prettily.And to finish off the wedding celebrations the desert trolley was wheeled out groaning under an amazing selection of cakes & sweets.Great place to have any sort of celebration.

In a tiny side street, the most unassuming entrance to this restaurant where, once inside you discover the vaulted ceilings of the two glorious dining rooms. The welcome was wonderful and all smiles. The menu is fabulous in its range, as is the wine list. The food was simply sensational. Beautifully prepared and presented, and served with the warmest of smiles. We thoroughly enjoyed our one dinner there, but we will most certainly return the next time in Recanati.
