Staying at the L'Albergo dell'Academia we were invited to the Cantine Bonaparte for dinner. Within walking distance of the hotel we managed to stumble back to the hotel post dinner. As a group we were offered several courses for a flat fee. All the dishes were fantastic and arranged beautifully. The view is second to none and the single malt went down quite smoothly.

This family-run restaurant is located in a loft opposite a free parking place. The interior is really nice especially if you miss the U.S. (you could sit beneath the buffalo's head). The food is very good and portions are plentiful. There's an ample choice of pizzas and dishes which are the specialty of the cook (the owner himself whose name is Luc). Prices are cheap. Sometimes they host musical events.

We have had lunch twice at the Pick-Up Café in Mondovicino. Each time service has been friendly and quick; the food has been interesting and good quality. This is a fine bar-restaurant, and makes a pleasant place to rest and refuel while shopping.

We fell in love with this place which is not just about the food but the passion for chocolate too.It is very hard to find non meat dishes in Vicaforte but the lady at this restaurant especially made soup and could provide vegan options. The food is delicious and so is the chocolate.Make this a must!
