This restaurant has improved steadily over the years, and now offers fine dining in a warm, cozy atmosphere just steps away from the headquarters for the Parc naturel régional du Vexin français (French Vexin Regional Natural Park), in the quaint village of Théméricourt.The food the restaurant serves is carefully chosen, with an emphasis on local ingredients. Last night, for example, my starter was smoked trout, procured from a trout farm a few kilometers away. For my main dish I had Andouillette de Jargeau, Crème de Moutarde à l'Ancienne, Gratin de Monalisa -- tripe sausage with a mustard sauce, accompanied by pureed potatoes. The translation doesn't do it justice, however. The sausage was one of the best I have ever eaten, and the mashed potatoes were better than grandma's. My desert, a "crumble" of rhubarb and raspberries topped with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, was delicious.During the summer, the restaurant opens up a terrace where one can dine in the open air. At any time of the year one can dine in one of its other two rooms -- one that is illuminated by numerous windows, or the back one with a fireplace. Last night my dining experience was heightened by Corsican polyphonic music playing quietly in the background.The restaurant is open most of the year (closed during the first three weeks of August), serving lunch (12:00-2:00) every day except for Wednesday and Saturday à 14h00), and dinner (7:30-9:00) from Thursday through Saturday. If you arrive close to the end of the serving time you won't be rushed: I was at the restaurant past 10:00 last night and wasn't the last to leave.While in Théméricourt on a weekend or holiday, don't fail to pass by the local micro-brewery, Bière du vexin, which sells award-winning crafted blonde and ambrée beers.

The restaurant is located in the center of Jouy-le-Moutier, in a charming oldbuilding made of stone. The restaurant was quite crowded but we could still maintain some privacy, which was quite appreciated. The food was good, even if the choice was not extremely large. The quality was excellent, and the dishes were not that pricey. Worth a visit, for the food and the atmosphere. You feel like in a village, just minutes away from Cergy!

Tastefully decorated, pleasant and rapid service... wine 25cl carafe 4,50.. bordeaux... quaffable and served with aperitif nibbles. This place is certainly best for pizzas (enormous) or pasta or salads. I had a large portion of baked cheese/aubergine without the offered ham or beef. The pop video on TV is not unduly loud and the place is deservedly popular... lots of families and almost packed when I left at 20h30. Most standard dishes sell at around 10⬠with just a few are more expensive (gambas etc.)

We've been to this place during a tour we were making. The food itself is rather good, but simple. It is not a very cheap restaurant, but it is OK. The point they really have to improve is service. Staff is gentle and sympathetic, but it takes way too long to be served. For very simple dishes, we had a total time of 1,5 hours. It's too much for lunch, when people are usually in a hurry. I could recommend the place, but be prepared to wait.

I ate there so often, and I have to tell that they are absolutely wonderful. What an incredibly fun, creative and tasty menu! Really good french-italian cuisine. Others could learn so much from the skill and good nature that is everywhere in this exceptional restaurant.
