My husband and I tried to eat dinner here on Monday, March 4th at 7:15 pm. We were asked if we had a reservation, and then rudely turned away. We saw that one dining room was completely empty. I'm guessing they were short of kitchen or wait staff help.Dear Bucherma, I am very sorry that you didn´t get a table at our Restaurant. I am not sure, but probably we served dinner in our smaller Dining room that night and this may be was full.May be you will visit us again - with Reservation in Advance please - during your next visit to Salzburg.All the best, Sylvia

This little place has delicious italian food!! Seriously!! Very good!The portions are huge, so if you are hungry thatâs the perfect spot to take care of that issue! Itâs well located with easy parking on the street.Wifi available.Friendly and efficient staff.Well decorated. Confortable.Very good value for money!!

Beautiful surroundings as you can see the nearby mountains from the garden. Elegant lights and furniture. Good quality meals, I loved my mushroom stew. Fine service. The waitress lady spoke English. The waiter gentleman did not so we had some difficulty with the daily menu. After the dinner he surprised us by letting us know he spoke our language ... why not tell it before?Clean restroom.Everything was great.

We had a very nice dinner in this relatively new restaurant with a traditional atmosphere. The personnel is very friendly, including the cook! Dishes are based on local ingredients and on Austrian cousine but with a modern, original touch. Highly recommended.

Also known as the Gasthaus zur Kugelmuehle (because it used to be a marble mill, powered by the Almbach) this is a lovely inn at the car park end of the spectacular Almbachklamm. We reached it having hiked around the Kniefelspitze from Hintergern, and were more than ready to sit down in the lovely, welcoming restaurant. It's beautiful inside, very traditional and immaculately presented - actually a more formal restaurant than we were expecting, since we took it to be visitor's cafe, considering the location.We ordered pots of coffee and kartoffelpuffer mit apfelmuss (potato pancakes with apple sauce) which were very tasty and very nicely presented.The waiter was attentive, efficient, friendly and allowed us to use our German, whilst considerately slowing down the way he spoke to be sure that we understood. The meal set us up nicely for the hike along the steep paths of the gorge!

High in the Bavarian Mountains is this Guesthouse that serves really exceptional food, prepared by a chef who infuses a combination of herbs and spices that is unique. Rarely have I tasted such dishes and fellow guests all agreed. The friendly and attentive service was also excellent.

This place is the best local food in South Salzburg. It's always full on weekends so make a reservation. Their daily menu is always a variety of yummy quality food such as deer medallions with spinach pasta and mash potatoes. Each day they have special dishes. They are also famous for large snitzels, fried chicken and cordon blue. The price is low for Salzburg while service is friendly and usually fast. My favorite place in the area.

Despite somewhat off the beaten path this place is well worth going to. Established Gasthof with some unusual and delicious dishes as well as hearty local fare. Menu changes often and is always fresh and beautifully presented. Wished we had more time to enjoy the sunny outdoor beer/dining garden more. Owners are very friendly and accomodating also and speak English. Next time if you are in the Berchtesgaden-Oberau-Scheffau area give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

-Menu was in German, but the waiter took the time to patiently explain every item in English. On our 1st night in Salzburg we decided to be guided by TripAdvisor reviews and chose Meet2Eat, the reviews are true it's fantastic!Located near the airport on the main road to Innsbruck , surrounded by car dealerships, it's about 3km out of central Salzburg. We chose to arrive by public bus the number 180 from the central station HBF and returned on the N2 trolley bus, journey time about 20 mins cost â¬2.40. Use the Karolingerstr stop. We had reserved online and we were greeted by then very friendly staff when we arrived at 1830. We chose to sit out outside in a covered area. There is a comprehensive menu, my wife chose a duck with Cumberland sauce starter and I chose a smoked fish with avocado. Superb - genius portion , lovely salad and dressing accompaniment. This was followed by both of us choosing get the tenderloin / fillet steak with a pepper sauce again a generous portion with garden vegetables and noisette potatoes. The best steak we have had in many years, cooked to perfection. Dessert was a very comprehensive selection of local cheese and a creme brûlée with orange sorbet and fruits. The restaurant also has a very friendly and most helpful sommelier who recommended an excellent local wine to compliment the meal. All staff were extremely friendly , helpful and efficient, and spoke excellent English as my German is lacking . The meal with pre dinner drinks was â¬150 , good value for the quality and overall experience. We plan to return during our stay .
