We TRIED to eat here today. We were informed - and none too nicely - that the staff was on lunch break. That would be fine, but why not convey it politely? There were customers still on the patio eating ice cream etc., no indication that the place was closed, yet they acted like our mere walking in was a major human rights violation. If you are going to run a restaurant, you should be capable of minimal courtesy towards customers, potential customers, and maybe future customers = none of which we will be, thank you very much.Hallo werter TripAdvisor Besucher!Sie besuchen uns ausserhalb unserer Ãffnungszeiten - diese sind auf allen Online-Plattformen wie TripAdvisor, Google, Facebook und auch auf unserer Website - Weiteres sind die Ãffnungszeiten auch vor dem Eingang im Lokal auf einer Tafel - weiters befinden sich A-Ständer im Frontbereich vor dem Eingang in den Schanigarten.Man darf doch durchaus von einem Top-Bewerter der Beitragsstufe 6 erwarten, die Ãffnungszeiten eines Lokales herauszufinden.Also vorweg stellt sich natürlich für uns die Frage, warum Sie uns dann ausserhalb der Ãffnungszeiten besuchen.Weiteres geben Sie eine 1 Sterne Bewertung ab, weil Sie persönlich gekränkt sind, wie die Menschen, die zu dieser Zeit im Schanigarten waren und Eis gegessen haben, angeblich unfreundlich waren. If you want rustic Austrian food at a great price then we would recommend here.We were very well looked after all evening, and there was a lovely atmosphere. We visited mid-week and out of season but we saw all the adverts for live music so I imagine that they have a great atmosphere in livelier months.We enjoyed beef broth for starters, which was so tasty, and I followed this with lentils, bacon and dumplings, again, all very nice. My husband went for the classic schnitzel and the potato salad he had was out of this world! We finished with a well cooked Apple Strudel. The food and service were great, and the prices were great value! Definitely one to visit when in the lovely village of Stein.

The staff, atmosphere and of course the food is excellent. Special food wishes, due to allergies or intolerances, is absolutely no problem. Big charming courtyard is also available. The quality of the restaurant is excellent. Don't forget to stop by a drink at the in-house bar. Two charming barkeepers and an excellent choice of drinks are available.

The old building is impressive and I loved the interior old fashioned design. Also location in the middle of old town is very convenient. Food: good, inovative, attractive... I loved combination of fish and apricots! Worth to try!

Outdoor and indoor seating is available here but even with all of the tables, it was popular. We were lucky to get a seat though not a very comfortable one right in the front at a hightop table. All the comfy seating was taken. 2STEIN served a wide variety of dishes of which we chose the jalapeno burger and the pulled pork sandwich and both included fries. We should have split one of those as it was a huge amount of food. Service was a bit slow and we were ignored when we tried to pay our bill - no one would look our way, so my husband finally got up and went to the front desk area - actually just three or four steps away. We still had a good meal and a nice time despite the slightly off service.

Landhaus Bacher restaurant is absolutely lovely especially in summer when you can enjoy their beautiful garden which is shaded by these old and big trees. We had a lovely dinner with our 4 year old son who was taken care of especially with his own Amuse bouche. The food was impeccable and the service was lovely and smooth. I would go back their anytime.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. As it was my husbandâs 30th birthday, we had looked on tripadvisor for somewhere special and so I pre-booked on their website, which was very straight forward. The interior of this restaurant is in no way pretentious, and the staff and the atmosphere make you feel at home straight away. The owner is so genuinely lovely which really adds to the whole dining experience. It was a special occasion so we didnât mind spending a bit more, but do not let the prices put you off as the quality of the ingredients and the standard of the end products are fabulous and well worth every penny. We also had a bottle of Gruner Veltliner, which was one of the nicest wines Iâve had the fortune to try.We went for the soup option to start and both types were served with the main ingredients in the bowl and then the owner came with the soup in little teapots and poured it over. The eating certainly did start with the eyes for this course. For the main, I went for the fish (Croaker), a type Iâd never had before, which was served with polenta. It was delicious and the accompaniments really tied the dish together. Despite feeling very full at this point, we both went for dessert, and boy am I glad! I enjoyed the apple omelette on a rum foam and my husband had the rhubarb pancake.....both were amazing.The owners took the time to ask about our visit to Austria after the meal and they just seemed so genuine and wanted their guests to have an enjoyable experience. When we next visit Austria, we will definitely book here again. The delicious food and wonderful hospitality were worth every penny.....and then some, and we will remember that for a long time to come!

Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, das Essen vorzüglich, besonders die Marillenknödel sind ein Traum. Die Einrichtung des Gasthauses is urig. Leider sind die Toiletten nicht mehr zeitgemäà und sehr schmutzig. Der Abfalleimer im WC lässt eine weiÃe Farbe nur vermuten. Schade, denn das Lokal ist wirklich gut.
