Die Damen waren sehr freundlich ; was man über die Preise nicht sagen kann. Aber diese scheinen auf der Insel generell recht hoch zu liegen. Wir hatten nach den vielen Bewertungen, die die "Frikandel special" so hoch gelobt hatten, andere Erwartungen. Leider war diese für uns wie jede andere auch. Gut zu essen ; aber kein gastronomisches Highlight. Man kann dorthin wenn man einfach mal Lust auf Imbiss hat.

Great great great . FRESH fish for a reasonable price. This food is amazing, so fresh so delicious. Keep on mind , itâs not a full serviced restaurant. Itâs more a take away with possibility to take seat. Anyhow- highly recommended

First evening we choose the "surprise" menu 5 courses which was excellent. Third evening we picked three courses from the menu. The main course was average. as a matter of fact not much choice either.Surprisingly no foor food at all good be ordered from the restaurant despite being part of a 4 star Hotel from 15:00 until 17:30. Except for some snacks.

An attractive looking bar/restaurant, with all the walls covered in old tools and utensils, a bar with a massey ferguson tractor built into it, and a cosy corner with leather sofas and books huddled around a free standing fire place for winter nights. Food was good, and service also good after a slightly slow start. Good meal, but menu is only in Dutch so take a phrase book/dictionary !

Just popped in here for drinks after hiking for a morning across the heath, The staff didnt mind us showing up with muddy boots and hair sticking out at all angles. We were served quick and efficiently and were made to feel welcome.

Do you search for a good Italian restaurant? This is truly not here. It is an international pizzeria with standard food and a lot of convenient additives. No excellent Italian wine, only one open red wine and no DOCG quality. Chicken pizza with pre- cut chicken slices. Carbonara sauce from cream and not egg based. Real Italian cooks would not like it. Although: the taste was OK, the Ambiente as well, price too high. Staff was very friendly. Sorry, as the starter was forgotten on top this, it is not more than 2 points.

Looked forward eating Dutch pancakes (my favorite meal). We came in about 17h, no one to greet us. After a couple of minutes we noticed. Kind personel but forgot to lay down cutlery. Pancakes were ready very quick. After I asked for cutlery we ate the pancakes. They were indeed much to thick, even to Dutch standards. Dutch pancakes should be thick due to the filling/topping, not from the flour. The bacon used on my pancake was too salty. Unfortunately all in all below average pancakes, we were disappointed. Wouldn't recommend this place.

A broad menu with lots to choose from if you are with friends. The Griffel is an old school house and has a nice relaxed atmosphere for dinner - outside and inside space depending on the weather. Friendly staff and good attention to your requests.

Visited Tante An for lunch and had good sandwiches, served with salad as a side. Portions are big. The basis is a veggie sandwich, chicken or salmon can be added on to it against an additional charge. Nice atmosphere and service. Food and drinks are quite expensive overall- as usual on Ameland.

Lovely place to be . Great service, always friendly and attentive. Stayed 3 nights . Good breakfast served to get ready for the day. Room is spotless clean, great water pressure. Bed is soft but comfy . Recommended stay. Room is is quiet
