Found it by mistake searching for parking place in the center. looked nice and since lots of cars outside thought food could be good. It was bot a nice place. My son ordered a schnitzel, they didnt know if there was oneleft in the freezer... Lucky for my son there was not... We ordered double burgers with fries. Fries were actually quite good, the burger lower average. Burgers bread cold . Service by a guy and a girl really under average. Try another place if you go by.

On our way to Lapland we stopped in Tornio and found restaurant Aino (at Park Hotel Tornio) which had opened again after renovation. And I must say it was one of the best decision and pit-stops after long time. Restaurant had nice atmosphere with combination of warm colors, real wood and brown leather making great interior design.Well, to our dinging experience. For starters we ordered fried crayfish and tapas plate. Wasabi sauce gives really good and bit spicy flavor for the crayfish...yum. Tapas platter consists of marinated mushroom, nice chorizo, crayfish and house bread. I liked especially those mushroom in combination with chorizo. Only thing I would improve is to add more "color" e.g. tomatoes, pepper in to fried crayfish side salad...I ordered filet mignon with blue cheese coat and must say it was one of the best steaks I've had in Finland for a long time. Meat was tender and taste excellent. To me portion was a bit too big even with all side potatoes and veggies. My wife had had an excellent burger A'la Aino which included nice twist provided by goat cheese and apple jam combination. Both course are highly recommended.Against our original plan we decided to finish with desserts...chocolate cake (baked at restaurant BTW) and house ice cream. Great finish for sure, I could have eaten another ice cream scoop as well but it was time to continue our travel. In addition to the fantastic food service was top notch as well. Our waitress (Sanna if I recall) did good job for sure. Thank you.Price point was very reasonable vs quality of food and place is relaxed and suitable for families as well.

We stayed in the Sweden house at Hulkhoff's for our son's wedding and it was EXCELLENT accommodations. We reserved the entire house for our group and it was enjoyed by everyone. The included breakfasts each morning were superb. The rehearsal dinner and reception were held there as well and were just perfect. The Hulkhoff's, Pia and Kurt were excellent hosts . We would stay there again and again!Dear waterfall2010, sorry for the delay of the answer. I have just now learnt to handle this Tripadwiser..;)I want to thank you for your nice words and hopefuly you will be back soon! Kind regards from us all.

We first just sat in for drinks but the place had such a great menu, friendly staff and good atmosphere that we went back for dinner. We had the garlic bread, chicken quesadilla, vega burger menu with sweet potato fries and the ice cream bowl. Every meal was a sufficient portion and really delicious. It's not cheap but absolutely worth it. The terrace was very comfortable, but you might need to reserve because it's full.

5 Italian friends. We were travelling south in Finland and we ended up calling this restaurant by chance for a quite late lunch. Gentle Pia answered, I asked for reindeer meat if possible.. she just said yes and wated for us to arrive. Outside the white guide (Best Restaurants in the Nordics' guide) awards received since many years.Pia (extremely nice and welcoming, perfect English speaker) and her husband (the skilled farmer/amazing chef) opened the restaurant just for us!! They prepared a delicious and carefully plated meal: tender and well cooked reindeer meat, organic potatoes, salad and mushrooms from their farm topped with fresh local raspberries (check the picture!). Then Pia showed us the first floor (just above the restaurant), where she sells fashion clothes and accessories by Italian/Austrian/French designers.. she does have a very elegant taste (said from Italians! :) ). Not to forget, they also have an import business for selected Italian wines.The perfect happy ending was the guided tour of their lovely farm, with cows, reindeers and a friendly dog.The price was just right, probably less than what deserved for this experience sharing!

Having arrived here just before the buffet lunch would end, I found myself nearly forgotten by the staff. As there were nearly nobody else, I was confused: would I be served at all...? And when they finally started to serve, it was friendly, but still absent minded. But luckily, the kitchen staff was great: I had the priviledge to pamper myself with extremely delicious food. I will return, but only because of tasty food.
