We went here last night with a large group of friends that included a bunch of teenagers who chose this spot. As an American living in Italy, I'm a bit leery of Italians making burgers, as their attempts are usually pretty bad. The others said the burgers were good, and since I miss good burgers, I said a prayer and ordered a cheeseburger with fries. Not bad!! The Italians will never get down the proper bun for a burger, but that said, it was totally acceptable. Meat was great as were the fries. I tried the pizza and was really tasty as well. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

We tried this restaurant for lunch on Sunday at the end of February; then ski season (although the day was a bit spoiled by rain falling on snow cover).The large dining room is furnished with taste; a quaint fireplace stands in the middle of the room, with its bell-shaped chimney.The dishes, rather elaborate, were all satisfactory or very satisfactory: ravioli with pecorino and thyme; trofie (a kind of pasta typical of Liguria) with aged cheese, pepper and fresh olive oil. As main courses, peposo (Tuscan spicy stew, one of the best we've ever tasted) and duck, each with various side dishes. One dessert: brownie with cream and strawberry syrup.As drink, a bottle of water and two glasses of nice house wine.The service was very friendly and fast enough. The bill was pleasantly fair in relation to the level of the restaurant and the delicacy of the food: 63 ⬠(also including coffee). In short, an experience to be recommended.

The ambience is nice (they even have a flat tv looping old black and white pics of the city and some local landmarks) and so was the service The "crostini misti" croûtons with mushrooms, speck, cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese were very tastyHowever my fettuccine with local seasonal mushrooms did not cut it. The habdmade pasta was very good but the sauce was not very tasty.I also wanted to order roast beef with roasted potatoes first because both are two dishes usually underestimated while I think they can easily range from awful to great and for the roast beef while a good piece of meat is easy to find around here, the sauce in my opinion is what makes it or breaks itThe roasted potatoes were cut super small in size but very tasty while the roast beef was good meat but with no sauce at all, on a bed of lettuce (!!)I had apple crumble for dessert and that was very good

Family of 5 plus baby: a mistake not to book, midweek June lunch we were the only customers and I think some notice would have helped. Antipasto delicious particularly mushrooms, and mushroom tagliatelle also very good as was boar pasta dish. Good house Chianti. No room for secondi piatti. Appears to be a family business . Would be hard to access without transport. Beautiful vegetable garden.
