We chose this restaurant for an important occasion (a birthday party) after making a comparison between all the restaurants in Algajola village. Our confidence was not disappointed. Fresh and beautifully cooked steaks of various fish: sea bream, sea bass, John Dory fish; fish soup; pot of "brocciu" cheese; excellent desserts. Fair price for the standard of Corsica: 155 Euros for five people, including a wine bottle at 25 Euros. Friendly service.We could not sit on the few tables available on the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea (for those, booking is required), however our table, even inside, allowed us to enjoy the view of the sunset on sea.

(Stayed in late August-Sept 2017) We searched hard as it was towards the end of peak of summer time. Beach was a down across a little lane from the back of hotel entrance. A great, wide white sand beach if you walked (about 2 minutes) towards the right side from the same back entrance. Breakfast was superb, with several choices of condiments, slices of cheese, honey, not to miss, nice French bread choices and yogurt. Coffee or cocoa to go together. We have dinner at the hotel several times. It was tried though hoped to have more chances to eat there more as missed on a few of choices that were tempting. Parking is across the hotel, along the road opposite it. Very convenient and ample spaces. Staffs were very friendly and made us felt very homely. We could only wished we could speak French. It is about 30 miuntes to Golf de Reginu, if you played golf. Water sports are also available at the beach nearby (2 minutes away). The little town centre have a few other restaurants which are lovely and friendly as well, offering choices of pizzas, steak, seafood, hot plate dishes. There is also an gelato/dessert specialty restaurant, a bakery and cakes/dessert specialty restaurant. Very nice friendly lady in there as well. All within 5 minutes walk. Room is very clean and nice. In fact the whole hotel area is super clean. Amenities are simple. We bought a box of tissue ourselves for use. Laundry lines are available along the window panels for beach wear and simple drying. Drive towards Calvi and Ile Rousse towns, respectively was nice drive. More shops there though with more crowd. We already miss the place and hope to visit again.

This restaurant is at the far end of the Aregno Plage about 1kn from Algajola. Truly a beach restaurant tucked back from the beach with a lovely shady terrace. Mussels delicious as were the other seafood dishes and friendly and relaxed service. There is nothing more that you could want from a beach restaurant.

We took a pizza to-go from this place because it was highly recommended. The waiters seemed busy and annoyed, we couldn't pay with credit card and the pizza itself was very plain and somewhat disappointing.. It was like getting a pizza from our local pizza guy back home and not the French/ Italian delicious kind of pizza we had anticipated. Disappointing.

This is a nice little cafe wonderfully located on the edge of the village overlooking the coastline below. It features a small terrace with tables crowded next to each other in limited space. Ordinarily, this would not be a problem. But during our lunch, there were quite a few smokers. It was impossible to really enjoy our lunch with cigarette smoke drifting under our noises much of the time. We donât know why such a thing is allowed given the small space of the terrace. The cafe advertises that it serves bio-veggies from its garden. Can you appreciate the contradiction of eating bio-veggies in air filled with streams of cigarette smoke? Smoking must be encouraged since there was an ash tray sitting on every table. In any event, we ordered several tapas which were good but nothing special. Portions were on the small side and prices on the high side, but everything seems to be costly in Corsica. The house red wine was very good as was the efficient service from the friendly server. There is also a friendly kitty inside that likes to be petted. As wonderful as the setting is, we would not go back because of the cigarette smoke and canât recommend eating here despite the great views.

Set on the beach a few hundred yards from edge of algajola, this restaurant is beach bar in day and great restaurant offering excellent sunset views. Ate here twice in the evening's, fish and steaks very good as was the wine. Waiting staff all very pleasant and helpful but the older lady taking payment at the end of the meal seemed disinterested, which is a shame as we really liked the restaurant

when you visit Algajola you can't leave without tasting a pizza at Le Chariot. we always eat pizza here and never choose from the restaurants menu. During summer time it is always packed at Le Chariot. You sit outside on the square with nice high trees. You can bring your dog, no problem.Pizza's are served quickly and you can add some drops of home made spicy oil on your slices. You can also order a pizza and take it 'home'.Looking forward to visit them again.

Starter pleasant.Disappointing otherwise.Online booking hadn't been looked at.Steaks overcooked.Replacement of Fillet with Rump steak.Seafood not fresh.Was not worthy of the 4.5 rating.Staff good.Bonjour En effet votre filet de boeuf est arrivé bien cuit au lieu de apt mais je vous l ai changé de suite et sachez que nous n avons pas de rumsteack sur notre carte mais que du filet de bÅuf charolais , pour les fruits de mer ne confonder pas peut être un peu trop cuit à votre goût et pas frais car nous somme livrer tous les jours pour ses produits. De plus personnellement, si je trouve un plat médiocre comme vous le dites , moi je ne termine pas mon assiette.....Avec tout nos remerciements

The first place to eat on the beach and with sunbeds for hire. Paid 15 euros for 2 but got them for free if you had lunch there ! Good varied menu but a little expensive

This is a great restaurant. The food is excellent as well as the location on the beach and the service. It is the only place we came back during our 10 days in the Balagne. The salads are rich and tasteful. We especially loved the Ceasar salad 'of the house'. My wife loved the pasta with gamba's. They sell it in a lot of restaurants on Corsica but here it is the best. It is adviced to make reservations (beach side table!) because this place is buisy from breakfast till late at night.
