We visited the Black Bear Japanese Fusion for the second time on Saturday night. First time just hubby and me, this time with another couple. It was great to be able to book using Open Table. The small and simple restaurant was packed on both occasions and was noisy and filled with laughter, but not enough so that we couldn’t have a conversation. There are so many delicious items on the menu it’s hard to choose. One can be adventurous and pick something totally foreign to eat, or if you are more conventional you can get a regular burger and fries or a salad. Our friends both opted for a shrimp burger served with mango salsa and a side salad. They thoroughly enjoyed their choice. My husband ordered spaghetti with teriyaki steak and a tomato sauce, and I decided to be brave and ordered Kimchi Sukiyaki beef udon and I had no idea what to expect. My husband was happy with his choice and I am still raving about my pick. The soup was spicy and so flavourful, filled with mushrooms and meat and noodles and it was served in a huge bowl. Service was quick and friendly and prices reasonable. Their drinks menu had some interesting cold beverages like fresh lime or lemon soda, mock-tails and more. Desserts sounded decadent but we were too stuffed to sample. Definitely one of the nicest places we have discovered in a long time. Plenty of free parking too. We will be going back soon.

Famous Sam's Fresh Deli

I have been coming to this restaurant for 25 years and will never understand the number of people who opt for the sterile, tasteless Tim Horton's food nearby. They obviously do not know about the good home cooked comfort food of Famous Sam's but that is their loss. Daily specials include souvlaki, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, hot hamburger or hot roast beef dinners, fish 'n chips, etc. Specials come with daily home made soups such as navy bean or chicken with rice. Of course there are hamburgers, hotdogs, fries and shakes as well as sandwiches like roast beef on a kaiser, grilled cheese, egg salad and toasted westerns. Breakfasts are also good with eggs, omelettes, bacon, sausage, ham, peameal bacon, home fries, toast, etc. You see what I mean about Tim Horton's? No comparison whatsoever! If you just want to stop by for a snack they have a selection of ice cream flavors. Food is ordered and served from the counter so there is no need to wait for someone to serve you and you save on tips. You can either order for take out or eat in.

A restaurant focused on serving up delicious Italian meals at great value, all in a family oriented, fun and casual atmosphere.

Went for lunch on a Saturday with my 84 year old buddy. My buddy being a real Greek (and the restaurant being "Italian") we wanted a 1/2 litre of house red wine with lunch, but all they had was wine by the glass so we were advised we could buy a bottle. Fine, we'll do that then.Overall the meals and service was OK, but nothing special, and it was not a cheap lunch. So we paid and were ready to leave. There was some red wine left so we took the bottle to bring home. But oh no, no way were we allowed to do that, because they have no "corking service"(?), and they could get in big trouble. We have no idea about "corking service", all we know is they had no carafes of wine (which any decent Italian restaurant should have) but we could buy a bottle instead, and now there was enough left for maybe a small glass.OK, so maybe it's not legally allowed for an 84 year old and a 61 year old to bring some leftover wine home, but "when there's will, there's a way", and common sense should always prevail. But no no no, definitely not in East Side Mario's. Are we ever coming back? Of course not, not to ANY East Side Mario's.Good morning, we apologize that you were not made aware of this beforehand and that you did not enjoy your visit. Could you please fill out a short form at reviews.esmfeedback.com, using the reference number 86610525-R? Thank you!

The food and drinks were good. The place is busy with locals. The service was slow and I can’t say if it was worth the wait. Over an hour to get our food. Once we got it, it was good. Make reservations and be prepared to wait.

You won’t be disappointed with the amazing omelette’s here! Breakfast for dinner is a great option - has browns are yummy as well. My husband absolutely loves the liver with bacon and onions. Great service, and consistently good food. Would definitely recommend.
