My wife and I had lunch here while staying in Brevard. It's an old timey soda fountain with really good hot dogs (chili, cheese and slaw) a good malted and friendly counter service. Have lunch here, you won't regret it.

We went on a rainy Friday night for comfort food. When we arrived the restaurant was full except for one table with plates and food on it. One of the waitresses looked at us, stood right by the table but did nothing (and I mean nothing) for several minutes until I kind of motioned to her. She took the plates but didn't clean the table (dirty and sticky) and walked off to sit down at a table. After 10 or so minutes the other waitress, obviously frustrated with her coworker, came by, apologized and got us drinks. With the other waitress still doing nothing, the waitress didn't get back to us for about 15 minutes. By now I'm not leaving just to see what happens. The good waitress (Dominique) tries to get the bad waitress to help but bad still just stands around when she's not making personal phone calls or looking bored. We were there for 1 1/2 hours. Everyone but bad apologized but it's clear the managers are weak to let this happen. We've had several poor experiences with this one but this was the worst.

I went in to get two biscuits and coffee for the road and long trip back home. I got exactly what I ordered with good fresh coffee and the right additive items for the coffee. Made for a great start to the road trip back.
