We went for breakfast while driving through. We have stayed in the area many times and love Hanks so we thought we would give the diner a try. Breakfast was delicious diner food. Grits were unique and the food is tasty. However, the service was rude, slow and forgetful. The coffee was never filled when asked twice. The servers seemed too interested in talking amongst each other behind the counter to be able to pay attention to their job duties. Only regular customers were treated with respect and kindness. We will go elsewhere for breakfast the next time we drive through. If the service was more welcoming and attentive they might be as successful as Hanks.

We had a nice breakfast here. Got the special which consisted of a cheese omelet, bacon and toast as well as coffee. Everything was good and hot and our waitress was nice. The bacon was really good. Omelet was okay....I ate the whole thing....not quite the kind of omelet I was envisioning however it was good. Glad we went there.

We were looking for breakfast a little later in the morning and, beside McDonalds, this really was the only place open. Average, hearty, country fare. Reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly, service somewhat slow, but there was another group ahead of us, so we didn't mind waiting.
