The portions are fantastic, the service is fast and friendly, and the prices are very good. This isn't a fancy restaurant, but based on how busy they are lots of others feel the same as I do that it offers a great meal for a great price. Arrive early as prime dining times are very busy.

Lots of hype about this restaurant and their fish and chips but not sure why? The fish was over cooked and the batter was too hard. The tartar sauce wasn't homemade but just regular commercial stuff? Not sure how they are known for the fish and chips.

Best breakfast place in town. The Hali Benny is fabulous - two poached eggs on smoked salmon and latkes, homemade hollandaise, knish - all for $12.99. Best corned beef and smoked meat sandwiches anywhere, on homemade challah. Very good handcut fries. Delicious homemade soups, and desserts to die for. One of our fave places to eat in Halifax.
