Let's just say that our very first impression of this restaurant wasn't all that positive! We booked on a whim and got the last table on their outdoor "terrace". When we got there, there was only another couple already seated inside. We went in and stood waiting for someone to notice us. Literally. The two waitresses were in the kitchen, which has a big cut out "window" to the entrance, but no one heard or saw us until a few minutes later when a family, with kids, came in and made a lot of noise. So I'm guessing it's actually our fault for not being loud!!! Anyway, once we were seen, we were finally taken to our table and I must say, if I had known what they meant by terrace, I would've asked for a table inside. The space is very small and crammed with tables, which means people eat on top of each other. On top of that, it needs some serious "refurbishment"! The sisal carpet looks old and dirty and there are weeds growing from the wall. We then noticed our glasses were very dirty; the waitress tried to tell us it was because they were sitting outside! Well, if you know that, don't leave them out! Just bring them out when you bring the menus... for example!!! The glasses were changed, the menus brought and in the mean time, the rest of the tables arrived! Yes, all of them in less then 30 min. The situation became critical as there were 2 people to serve 30 and one of the two was inexperienced. I'll just say that we got there at 7:30pm and only managed to leave three hours later! Everything went soooo slow at some point we thought they'd forgotten about us! But the food made up for all this! I had a fish with risotto and J got the steak salers and they were very well cooked and seasoned.

On prend nos pizzas à emporter car plus pratique avec des enfants en bas âge.A chaque fois c'est un régal ! La montfinoise à la tomme de beaudé (la fromagerie réputée du coin) est simplement délicieuse !On recommande !

Very nice lunch, salad de chevre chaud, followed by tartare de boeuf and fried local fish. Exactly what we were looking for. Large terrace overlooking the lake.
