I was lucky enough to win a 3 course dinner for two on facebook.I was looking forward to it and I wasnt disappointed.Lovely selection from the new menu at Harpers.It was a Saturday night and they were very busy but we were seated quickly and received our drinks promptly.The ambience is lovely there and the lighting is perfect.The staff were very welcoming.I opted for the trout& caviar starter and my partner had the soup.The latter was substantial and delicious.The trout starter was gorgeous.My only criticism is because it is quite small some sort of carbs should be added whether a slice or brown bread or sourdough would perfect the dish. I had the pork wrapped in serano ham with cider cream for the main and my partner the hereford beef.The two mains were so delicious.I rarely eat pork but it was so soft.For desert I had a peanut brittle parfait and caramelised banana dish.I would return for that alone.Scrumptious.Throughout the meal all staff were very friendly and accommodating.A lovely night and a thank you to Harpers.Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to post such a fantastic review on TripAdvisor following your recent visit to Harper's.We are delighted you enjoyed your meal and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.Best wishes James Gleeson General Manager

had lunch here today. Martine is just excellent at front of house. Ordered the seafood chowder and goats cheese. The chowder was something special so flavoursome and full of fish. I then had goats cheese salad - amazing is all I can say. My daughter had the curried parsnip soup and chicken and egg caesar salad which was beautiful and the teenager wwith us had chicken gougons which were home made and plentiful. Thank you for an amazing lunch we will be back

Food is great here but space is at a premium. Very narrow and very busy. The staff are always on the go but canbe hard to get their attention once you've been served- if you need something else or something is missing from your table. The deserts are amazing however!!!! Compliments to the pastry chefs !!!

Another lovely meal had at this restaurant... they never let me down.. travelled down by train to Thurles to celebrate my 50th... food excellent.. staff very friendly and helpful... well worth a visit if your ever down in Thurles.. only sorry I don't live near it would visit more often... we had the meat ball and mushroom starters followed by the sea bass and chicken.. topped off with a sticky toffee pudding and rhubarb and Apple crumble... all very reasonable prices...

Would highly recommend this restaurant!! The staff are so friendly and welcoming the minute you walk in. The restaurant has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere with nice views of the River Suir. The portions are plentiful and there is a wide variety of meals, my personal favourite is the Tandoori Butter Chicken, yum!!!!
