We are frequent visitors to Madeira but this was our first visit to Mad Market so wish we'd found it earlier. The waiting staff are excellent friendly without being intrusive also helpful fetching wines to the table which they feel will compliment your meal & the choice for us was spot on. The food was delicious we were disappointed that we just couldn't manage a dessert but we will return & intend to 'pace ourselves' on our next visit.Thank you for taking some time to share your opinion about MadMarket and for giving us such a wonderful âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ review! Our concept is slightly different from the regular restaurant locations, with a different, more relaxed approach, with different environments: restaurant, snacks, cellar, fruit shop, market and typical products from Madeira. Food extraordinary and service is very professional. Very clean place in an old style restaurant. Price very honest. Maybe the best restaurant in all Madeira island. The restaurant is located in a stunning location with fantastic viwe over Funchal. We went for the 7 course set menu with wine pairing. Some of the dishes was lacking salt or spices, and was a bit disapointing. Other was good, but not outstanding. It is quite expensive place, so we would have expected a bit higher standard on the food.
