Went here today for my daughter’s birthday. What a pleasant surprise. Beautiful little restaurant with amazing food. My starter and main was absolutely delicious. I’m vegetarian and found that there were quite a few choices to suit me. My husband had a steak and found it cooked to perfection. Our children had the kids menu which was great value with main, dessert and drink included. Our waitress was absolutely lovely- attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Thanks so much . We will be back.

A lovely old English Coach House in the picturesque village of Harbledown. Just 5 minutes drive from Canterbury City Centre, or a leisurely 15 minute walk. A village pub with a friendly, informal atmosphere serving top qualtiy food from local suppliers an

Ate here today and were bowled over with the quality of the food, excellent friendly service, and atmosphere. The starters were truly exceptional especially mentioning the Sea Food Cocktail in a yummy seafood sauce served on the freshest of young lettuce leaves dressed in a most complimentary dressing. The other two starters we had drew generous compliments. The Roast Sunday lunches were exceedingly tasty and fullsome leaving our appetites unable to cope with a dessert. Shame!A venue to regularly return to.

All markets in France have a kiosk selling crepes. At one time in the middle-ages, many Canterbury residents were French-speaking Huguenots. Remember the Edict of Nantes? Cite Crepes may not date back to those times but the flavours, smells, and textures of their crepes are as authentic. Save yourself a ferry ride to France if this is something you love.

We went to Kathton House for the Summer Evening Tasting Menu and were not disappointed. The warm welcome was excellent. It was definitely fine dining but with an element of sophistication and ease combined. The staff were excellent in their delivery and the young man who provided the detailed information regarding the wines for each course was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and I even had Happy Birthday written in chocolate with some chocolate truffles. . Each course was simply delicious and we will be returning without a a doubt. Maybe we might use the accommodation next time in order to drink more of the fantastic wines on offer.
