The city, with its steep hills dropping down to the sea, is popular amongst South Americans. The main ocean boulevard is called Avenida Atlântica (Atlantic Avenue). Balneário Camboriú is famous for the cable car which (uniquely in the world) links the city's central beach and the beach of Laranjeiras. The city is located 10 km (6.2 mi) south of the city of Itajaí, 96 km (60 mi) south of the city of Joinville, and 80 km (50 mi) north of the state capital, Florianópolis. The city has a population of 124,557 (2014 census office estimate), which swells to over one million in the summer.

Went out with some friends for dinner on a saturday. Long wait for a table so we took the balcony by the Chef. Best decision ever made, as our sushi came quick, and had the best "chef picks", by one of the best chefs in the house, Charles! Great place fir couples as well. Very trendy, so you will often find bloggers, and some of the most beautiful girls in Brazil, apart from celebrities as well. Order the seared truffled tuna, and the tuna foie gras to seal the deal!

Iâve been to Dudu twice and could go back another 100 times. The ambience and decor are gorgeous and pays homage to Brazilian art, a welcome change to the tradicional soul free decor that we see in most places. The service staff is super friendly and helpful - weâve been helped by Marco and Rafael so far. And the food, oh the food!! Close your eyes and ask for anything, Iâm sure you will love it! Weâve tried steak, octopus, fish, pasta, scallops - all to die for! Congrats Dudu and the entire team!

There is only one place to go in Balneario Cambori, and L'asiette is it. Among the expensive deep-fry all you can eat buffet style riff-raff you find L'asiette, quitly located with an ever changing inspiring menu, and dedicated waiters.Once located, we could not be bothered to go anywhere else. Whether you just want a glass of wine, lunch or the full monty, here you will get not only the best quality and service, but at a very reasonable price, I mean, where else in South America do you get fresh great quality home baked bread?. Our waitress Joyce was professional, fun, spoke perfect english, and went out of her way to make our dinner as enjoyable as possible, in which she succeeded with bravour. Made especially for me at the time I requested, excellent vegetable risotto. Good presentation and very friendly, accommodating waitress. The inside/outside dining is exactly my kind of understated luxury with huge sofas and cushions, an outside chandelier over limed wooden assorted tables. Views over the valley or the beautiful planted palms next to the pool.

If you want to meet new people, go somewhere else. Those people think money is the only thing that matters. No one wants to talk to strangers, although it's a nice place to sit and hang out with friends. Go in groups then, people you already know.

Excellent place that I discovered in Balneario Camboriu (thanks to TA reviews... that led us to this restaurant). Unique dishes offered, special sides and a manager/owner that works and makes sure that the service is top of the notch.You will read a couple of reviews saying that it is normal to find empty restaurants in B.Camboriu.. This is not what you will find at Palatare Bistro, since the overall dinning experience is great. We will come back, for sure.
