The Caribbean coast of Colombia boasts one of the nicest cuisines in the country, mixing African, Hispanic and Indigenous influences. Prominent in this cuisine are seafood and coconut sauce. Josefina is one of the most amazing cooks of this type of cuisine I've encountered after years of travelling the width and length of Colombia. The coconut rice, the fried plantain, the different fish and shellfish, in various sauces and presentations (garlic, breaded, coconut) is just perfect. I was really delighted to eat there every day at every meal during my stay in Capurganá. Don't expect anything fancy though -it is just a very simple house by the beach. But sure, to enjoy a delightful meal do you really need anything more?

Capurgarepas lovely owner Amparo makes the most delicious organic/vegetarian food in Capurganá. I had lunch here almost every day of my stay in Capurganá. The big and filling corn arepas (hand made from scratch by Amparo herself) are tasteful and a perfect lunch, you can get them with, for ex., pulled beef or chicken or vegetables and cheese. If you pass by before mid day and tell her you want a bigger lunch, she'll prepare something fantastic for you. Amparo gets most of her food from local farmers from the mountains around and from her own cultures. ... and don't forget to ask for her "ajà picante".

I found this place to be very thoughtful and keen to meet everyoneâs needs. The daily diverse menu was impressive and kept me interested in returning many times over two weeks. The chef is highly skilled and certainly knows her stuff. To top it off, the owner Victoria is a credit. If you need anything at all, she seems to know who to go to. Not just great food, great service. I also recommend a tour organised by Victoria. Top show and well done.

Came here as we passed it the night before going to gecko... many people do this as the sign looks like it is Gecko. So glad we came here!! Incredible steak and sea food. Best octopus Iâve ever tried. Very welcoming and genuine.

Ci portano a mangiare durante un'escursione a Playa Soledad. Due giorni dopo torniamo a piedi (camminata di 1h30 da Finca el Regalo attraverso baia Aguacate). Eravamo soli. Alla signora ho chiesto di cucinarci qsa. Arriva un super pesce alla griglia con riso, zuppetta, ecc. Delizioso. Hanno anche costruito una piccola piscina con acqua dolce, fresca di sorgente. Paesaggio e vista stupenda. Vero lusso.
