After reading reviews , we decided to order takeout from here thinking we would get some great food. The food was terrible. The fried dumpling were burnt on the bottom and the filling had an odd taste. The crab Rangoon was well done to the point it was dry. Sweet and sour chicken was also dry. The egg rolls ordered were actually spring rolls and they did not pack the wonton soup so no soup but they didn't forget to charge for it. Teriyaki chicken was okay but my son who is a big chicken fan opted to feed his chicken fingers to the dog. The pork fried rice that came with the sweet and sour chicken was greasy with very little in it other than rice and a few tiny pieces of pork. I don't know if it was just a bad night or a different chef cooking but we will not order from there again. .

Hi Folks. This place is ok for take out if you are in a hurry. They are very quick. I had Roast Pork Lo Mein lunch special. It came with wonton soup. They made it very fast. They did however forget the spoon for the soup. Both items were ok but not wonderful. They have a standard menu. Regards, OldeBear

As a long-time fan of another local Chinese take-out spot, I had long hesitated to try this Plantsville counter service.I called in my order and opted for the pickup service although they do offer free delivery. My first surprise, upon arrival, was the long line of folks waiting to pick up their orders. Obviously a local favorite spot.The food was well-prepared, delivered hot, and cooked to perfection. Two girls were on the phone taking phone orders so apparently I am one of the last to discover this establishment!If I could change anything at all, it might be the attitude. At no time during my wait did I ever see an employee even smile let alone exchange any pleasantries. It was strictly a "pay for you food and go" place. P.S.... cash only!

Small buffet, that has an overwhelming smell as soon as you walk in the door, almost musty. They don't even give you real plates, paper plates and plastic silverware! The food was not good. The price is cheap and you get what you pay for. I would recommend paying a little more and going somewhere else.

I decided to try the new Zheng's tonight. They have been open for about a month now. The restaurant was very clean and the service was friendly. They have a couple tables should you wish to dine in but this is mostly a take out place. I ordered crab rangoons and a chicken with broccoli combination platter with vegetable fried rice.The crab rangoons were stuffed full and tasted okay but there was some yellowish pieces of something inside that I couldn't identify. I decided to stop eating them because I am allergic to shrimp and didn't want to risk it. It could have been rice but I wasn't sure.The chicken was very good quality and the sauce was good. They give you plenty of sauce in the meal so the food isn't dry. The vegetable fried rice was about average. The eggroll was good but wasn't greasy enough as weird as that sounds.. It seemed dry... maybe that is a good thing but I feel I have had better.They offer a "healthy" options menu with lot so veggie choices.I would definitely go back and try other things are Zheng's. They were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Overall the food felt like good quality. I am rating it average because I have had better but I have also had worse.
