The town was named for Alexander Mebane, an American Revolutionary War general and member of the U.S. Congress. It was incorporated as "Mebanesville" in 1881, and in 1883 the name was changed to "Mebane". It was incorporated as a city in 1987. The population as of the 2010 census was 11,393. Mebane is one of the fastest growing municipalities in North Carolina.

Nice restaurant, but food had no taste. I've eaten at many asian restaurants and these dishes did not taste like the dishes they were supposed to be. They had no taste at all. Even the iced tea had no flavor. It was very disappointing.

Tried 3 times to get a phone order correct. Food still was not what was ordered when we picked it up.Manager insisted his girl that took the order did it right. I don't believe she understood english very well. Manager said I was wrong and she was right. He did not apologize, just insisted they did not make a mistake.I well not do go there again until they clean up their restaurant and service. VERY POOR customer relations.

This is my usual Chinese restaurant, so it is good enough for me to eat about 1-2 month. My kids like their Habachi stir fry and the Buddah Delight with fried tofu is a very good vegetarian dish. The General Tso's chicken is not spicy at all. That is good for my family since my wife cannot do spicy food, and we can share this dish. If I eat here solo, I request it "spicy". Typical eat in area with small tables. It is always clean. Staff very nice.

Place is located at a shopping center. They have a small buffet about 10 or 12 items with egg drop soup. It is a small place but the food was very good and not to spicy. They do have 2 different hot sauces, very clean buffet. The lady behind the cashier was very nice with a smile. All the utensils are thrown away items; it makes it easy to place them in the trash before you leave. Just one bathroom for ether sex near the buffet was clean also.

Yes it's gone down hill even more. Had not had it in a while. The chicken was undercooked and tasted slimey. This was sesame seed chicken... no way should deep fried chicken taste slimey. The rice was undercooked, finally the fortune cookies was stale and out of date. Too many chinese places around risk a bad experince.
