This Wegman's has an amazing prepared food department. Plenty of selections for individual or family meals or build your own. Everything from wings to sushi. I spent the first 20-30 minutes just taking it all in. Decided on meatloaf dinner - it was excellent and just $9!

They moved across the street and after a couple of years, have reopened. They have the best Chinese in the area. Beautiful remodel. The house fried rice is excellent as are the chicken, beef and seafood offerings. The egg rolls are done perfectly. Quick carry out offered.

We went for dinner at Hunan Chef upon our arrival in town yesterday. We were non-plussed when we realized that this is mostly a take-out place and ordered our food to eat in. I was happy that I could get brown rice rather than white rice with my entree for just a $1 uncharge. I ordered Broccoli with Garlic Sauce and was very happy with the broccoli but disappointed with the sauce. I thought it would be spicy and it instead seemed sweet. Drink options were limited to bottled water or soda. My dining companions had the seafood special (she felt that it was mediocre) and hunan lamb (she felt that it was average). Prices were quite reasonable, particularly for the East Coast.

This was my 4th or 5th meal at Ding How. We got take out this time and it was a big let down. Ordered Ebi Yaki (appetizer which promised jumbo shrimp but delivered 4 medium-sized shrimp for $7.25), Chicken Lo Mein (average for $9.25), Ma Po Tofu ($9.75, tasted like they used black pepper to make it extra spicy, as requested), Lemon Chicken ($11.75), and Sesame Shrimp ($14.25 - deep fried battered shrimp). The flavors were all pretty average. The Ma Po Tofu sauce was forgettable and used frozen peas and frozen carrots, which is very disappointing given the Lo Mein had fresh carrot strips. The Sesame Shrimp (Chef Special) was the biggest disappointment because the shrimp were deep fried and the sesame flavor did not come through. Lemon sauce for the chicken was canned and gloppy. Can't say I'd recommend any of the above, which is a shame given my prior review.

Since my last review, I've tried more menu items over many return visits and would like to share an update with you guys:- Service Comment 1: Based upon my experience, do not expect your food to be ready until several or many minutes after you are told that it will be ready. I would say that, on average, it takes about 50% longer for my food to be ready than is predicted. There have been times when I've had to wait half an hour in the small waiting area, after arriving very close to the time when I was told that the food would be ready. Although I am not happy with that, I have just factored an expectation of this into my plans (e.g., I always plan on having something to read, when I head here for a pickup).Service Comment 2: Staff phone etiquette might seem a bit abrupt to some, but you will get used to it, if you accept that it is unintended and is partly due to language/cultural differences, and also because they seem to have a very busy, brisk business most of the time, which has them chronically backed up with orders (thus Service Comment 1).Service Comment 3: After a few visits, the front counter person will probably start referring to you by name (or nickname) and will remember your likes and dislikes. She does try to be nice, even though she's rushed to help get orders out.Food Comments: The Egg Foo Young here is my favorite anywhere. I recommend asking for the gravy on the side. Pork Lo Mein is good. Szechuan Chicken would be really good, if they'd cut back on the onions a bit and increase the other veg. that the menu says is in this dish. General Tso's Chicken is usually pretty good but is just on the edge of having too much breading for me. I have tried dishes here with breaded beef, and I really DISKLIKED them (too much breading on very chewy pieces of beef). Recently, for a change, tried the Gai Ding, which is advertised as "diced chicken with vegetable and almond." It was clear from mere inspection of what we received that there were no almonds (cashews were used) and that one of the vegetables was cucumbers. We weren't expecting to like it, but it wasn't bad. Eggrolls are pretty good (not the best I've had).Overall, I still like this place, and it continues to sit at the top of my list of favorite Chinese carry-outs that are conveniently located for me.

P.F. Chang's is a restaurant concept that honors the 2,000-year-old Asian tradition of wok cooking and believes in making food from scratch every day in every restaurant. With a Farm to Wok food philosophy at its core, P.F. Chang's chefs hand-roll dim sum
So here we are, a family of 6, out for a birthday celebration. No reservation, but fortunately we didn't need one because the restaurant wasn't terribly busy at the time. We were seated immediately, and our server greeted us a few minutes later. We asked for a little more time to order, so she got our beverages in the meantime. Our order was placed, and we waited. And waited. And waited. The server stopped by to apologize and offered to bring us some soup (on the house) because the kitchen was "a little backed up". That was a nice touch, and kudos to her for thinking of it! Finally, the food arrived, nicely prepared, and hot - so at least it was fresh and served immediately. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, mostly because our server was attentive and friendly.

It's very pleasant sitting by the window, overlooking the stream, at Joey Chui's. And service is very attentive. Where the restaurant stumbles is the food. This is an Americanized, bland version of Chinese cuisine. The quality of the ingredients is fine; it's the flavor that's lacking.
