Visited this (hotel) restaurant twice. Food is good, service a bit slow but correct. Sadly the Manager is truly rude and lacks common politeness. Abnoxious, barks back at questions and treats guests condescendingly. We thought it was a one time accident but twice ... We will never go back again!

The idea of mixing the 4x4 propositions of plates in a way that suits your envies best is a very nice idea. Thus I skipped soup, but I had several deserts . Sophisticated cuisine. What a find in Saanen! Hidden away, this gorgeous restaurant is worth seeking out. Book early as I think itâs a well-guarded secret of the locals! For good reason! On a lovely, warm Summer evening we sat outside on the veranda, surrounded by beautiful flowers and candles. The menu was unique, presented in a bound book, each day showing a new menu sourcing the freshest ingredients. Each meal we had was beautifully presented and faultless. Our table chose a range of salads and the mussels for entree and for the mains the trout was delicious and the beef cheeks divine. The wine list was extensive and we enjoyed some beautiful Swiss wines. Totally recommend this place! It was the best meal of our week in Saanen/Gstaad. There is some confusion with the two hotels.One hotel is in Saanenmoeser and one is on top of the Hornberg called Berghotel.The first one is a brilliant hotel cum restaurant with lovely food and great service.Views are to die for.The second is an average hotel with average food and not worth the visit unless you are hiking in the region.

Wir waren zwei Abende hintereinander im Bären zum Abendessen. Die Terrasse ist sehr gemütlich, mit Aussicht. Die Karte ist sehr ansprechend. Die Qualität des Essens ist top und alles ist schön angerichtet. Die Serviceangestellten Felipe und Emanuela sind äusserst nett und aufmerksam.Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Zum Schlössli is a small, family-run restaurant in Grubenwald-Zweisimmen with an outdoor deck overlooking a gorgeous hillside town in the Swiss Alps. We stopped here on a whim as we drove through the mountains. Service was very friendly, and the food was very good. I ate the Bratwurst, served with a delicious gravy and a potato (hash brown like) cake. A great place to stop for a meal on this drive from Gstaad toward Interlaken.
