We had dinner here after we hadn't been here for a while. The set-up was all changed. You can only take a surpise menu with 2-3-4-5-6-7 courses. We had a 3 courses menu which was really nice. You can indicate that you don't want fish for example.The dishes were really an artistic creation and really tastefull. One thing to improve: increase the portions slightly. We had enough but still felt some appetite after dinner.

Thanks to the TripAdvisor reviews, we made a reservation for Spijs. What a wonderful restaurant. All the employees were friendly and accommodating. My husband and I both had the beef fillet. It is one of the best I've ever had - and we have dined at some pretty high end restaurants! It was cooked perfectly and was tasty and tender. I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant.

What a lovely place!We came for dinner and what we got was fantastic food in a lovely location, served by super nice staff. You do need to make a reservation and there is a good reason for it - very nice place with delicious food. Thank you Rose & Team for this very nice evening!

On route back to airport and just off the tram 16 route to Central Station is this little gem.Service with a smile from Angela and great food. Well cooked presented and not at all expensive. You can sit inside, outside your r upstairs ... try the satay chicken and chips.

We visited here as part of the Restaurant Week promotion and we definitely made a good choice. We were not offered a menu but just asked if there was any food we did not like or had any allergies to. We have experienced this style of ordering before and it is good fun if you have a broad palette. We also ordered the wine arrangement to go with each course. The courses were were prawns with a piri piri sauce, cheese ravioli with rocket and Parmesan, steak with truffle oil mashed potato and a chocolate fondant. Everything was excellent and we really enjoyed it. My wife's steak was served a bit too rare for her taste so the staff willingly took it back and gave it some extra time on the grill. The wines chosen by the staff were all really enjoyable and suited the food perfectly. The service was very attentive but not too formal and the staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about their product. Also they indulge in some good humored banter with the customers which sets them apart from other restaurants. We will definitely return to By J&M.
