Food is rather tasty, but when I went out I felt like I had eaten a ton of gravel. Not bad, but be prepared for a VERY difficult night trying to digest.

I took guests for dinner in July 2016.The staff were most accommodating of our request for a table facing the river, anbd the food and service were excellent. One has to keep in mind that there are different expectations of staff on the different sides of the Atlantic. There is a great selection fo food here, and the best if to be fond amongst the venison, which I highly recommend. Will definitely go agaiin!

The day before, passing by and looking at the café then full of visitors I noted that this place is clearly popular. Not surprisingly, the terrace offers a superb view of the square in front of the Cathedral. It was logical to come here in the morning - for breakfast, when there are only few guests. The cafe opens at 9 am. The menu offers several breakfast options at prices ranging from 5 to 9 euros. I took the "Nordic" for 8 euros (scrambled eggs with smoked salmon), and beyond that another German Camembert for 2 euros. I was lucky â while I had breakfast, the rain had not yet begun.

Went there after a rough business day. Really good, high quality food, nice place close to the river. Very relaxing and friendly atmosphere; reasonably priced. I highly recommend it if you are in the area craving some good traditional German food (which of course is usually a contradiction in itself). It works here, though.

This restaurant was on my list of places to eat after reviewing Tripadvisor so we headed there first thing. The food was big, delicious, and quite reasonably priced. I had an appetizer of "hand cheese" with bread which was quite good. Dinner was wild pork goulasch that was delicious. My wife went with just a huge baked potato stuffed with quark (like cream cheese and creme fraisch) and smoked salmon. We left the restaurant stuffed and content. I'd definitely return to this restaurant!

The restaurant is located on one of the Central squares of the city â Fischmarkt in the old half-timbered building of Tudor style. Nice is not only exterior, but its interior creating a special atmosphere. Naturally, in such a place the restaurants can't be cheap. I took tomato soup with grated Parmesan, salad with beef liver and rump steak marinated in herbs. Together with two glasses of Riesling it costed for me fifty Euro or a little more. The menu is quite large â up to pasta and even fresh fish.

We were wandering around Wetzlar and settled on Goldenes Ross for lunch, being attracted to it's historical building. We found out the set promotion lunch so ordered 4 sets.....Schnitzel, white Asparagus (Spargel) etc.The food was surprisingly good, and price is more than reasonable. I especially like the Spargel and Krombacher beer. And perfect weather completes the wonderful lunch experience!

The restaurant has a superb location, overlooking the cathedral square. Service was excellent, friendly and quick - which can not always be taken for granted in a tourist spot.The price was reasonable.

Restaurant and small hotel attached to a little brewery, a little way from the main town centre (but close enough). Very nice friendly staff, good hearty food and very good beer made on the premises. The hotel rooms are actually more like a motel with their entrances outdoors, but they are huge and very nicely appointed. Good breakfast choice.

Sitting outside in the summer you can over look the lake. Inside you over look the indoor tennis courts. The service is good and the food plentiful. I have been here on several occasion and it is always frequented by the locals which is always a good sign. I always order a small salad for the main and eat part of my husbands pizza as they are always too large.
