Was in Taras for a quick bite to eat. Nice small quiet place. Reminded me my grandparents' house from my Soviet past :) Food was delicious. You know this kind of Homemade food that reminds you your childhood.I recommend to try local " donuts" called Sirniki ( or Syrniki, I even checked Jamie Oliver's website to find out a recipe-Russian syrniki -cottage cheese pancakes), Very yummy with a nice hot cup of tea with milk ( as locals prefer to have it) In total- not expensive but nice food. Not too bad service by local standards :), easy enough to find, and a nice surprise for my English partner- an English speaking manager Tim. So yes- recommend , if you happen to be in Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan
