We were very unhappy to start with as we waited for 1 hour before the waiter came to us. We had to go on bar to order our drinks. Had to go to front counter to pick up menu cards. Had to go to bar for more drinks. There were no place setting even when the salad came. The waiter never surved us the cheese cake we ordered. We had to call to the manager from car as there was no waiter to serve us. Just came back from this restaurant. We haven't been here for a very long time so I asked my husband to take me out for my 75th birthday there. I indulged in the shrimp and rib dinner at $36 a plate..3 tiger shrimp that were not fully peeled over 10 oz ribs (half the size that they used to be). The ribs were soft BUT they put the shrimp on the ribs and over everything was this disgusting, disgusting chemical sauce that was putrid. I thought I was going to throw up (and I don't normally). I remember their tomato based BBQ sauce was delicious and beautiful long ribs. If I am paying for shrimp, I want to taste the succulence of the shrimp not some chemical crap over them. Well, needless to say, I thanked my husband for taking me out and NEVER NEVER AGAIN to Baton Rouge. Another restaurant down the drain.We are sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience. Fantastic diner with our business partners of Beans & Grind, bringing Pelican Rouge coffee to Canada . Weâve shared starters eg Oyster samplers (amazing especially with the spicy infused vodka) gnocchi (original main dish, but we took it as a starter to share as weâve heart great stories) carpaccio and amazingly fabulous tasting soft fish tacos.As a main I had the Australian lamb, but also the other dishes with the steak and the sirloin with lobster were looking great. Friendly staff, nice location. Was not impressed by the scoop of vanilla ice cream, too watery. This place deserves the new Pelican Rouge Coffee, so hope my bizz partners will follow up on this soon :)

I went there after picking someone up from the airport. The service was a little bit lazy and the food was average, if you have a child the dessert is a volcano, thatâs pretty much the only thing that was good . Very good burgers, fresh ingredients and very good service. Nice location where you would least expect it. Did find a lot of entree prices very expensive. Its burgers mac n cheese and pizza. $30 is not an appropriate price for these items. Dont care if it's the best ever. Nice to see there is still a classic restaurant that caters to fine dining style (proper dress code required). Traditional but nicely appointed woodwork, stained glass and classy ambiance. Food is excellent and all cooked to perfection. The Caesar salad made table side is amazing. Excellent wine menu.My only comment was that in true custom â Women should always be served first. Iâm sure that it was just a little busy. Good value for exceptional food and desserts.

Just returned home after a delicious lunch at the School, with my wife and another couple, and wanted to share this experience while it is still fresh in my mind. First, the service from the maitre d' to the servers was very professional and friendly. The waiter did not rush us and we had plenty of time to peruse their extensive menu, while munching on soft warm buns, which they replenished for us. The French onion soup was delicious, while the others had the soup of the day, a squash chowder, all piping hot straight from the kitchen. My wife and I had the lobster bun, which was filled with chopped lobster meat that ran out of the bun when you bit into it., our friends had the cob saland and the sirloin tip with pasta, both large portions (even for lunch). I had a draft Innis and Gunn, Scottish craft beer, and it was very drinkable, while my friend had a glass of white wine. The entrees were all good, and my wife and our other friend both had "doggie bags", because they could not finish.The ambience is just great. It has been many years since our last visit to the school, and plan to come back a lot sooner. It is not inexpensive, but if you are having a special occasion, that you want to be memorable, this is definitely the place to visit.

We have been on a search for great pizza for over half a decade. Some decent pies have come and then gone. Finally we ate two terrible ones from a very popular chain last week and had to try something new. We just ate our first Abruzzo pizza and it was the BEST pizza we have ever ate in our lives. The pizza is perfectly built with toppings perfectly balanced. The strength of flavour in the mushrooms, onions and peppers balanced so beautifully with the shockingly good pepperoni. The slices of REAL bacon and a delightful salami...this was a perfect pie. Now to the real deal. The crust is like a cracker crust. The crust is so delicious by itself that just that would be a nice meal. The cheese used was so ropey and rich, it danced on the palate with every bite. The pizza sauce is one of the finest Italian sauces that I have ever had. That sauce would do pasta a beautiful job. On the pizza, it just raises the bar higher than I thought possible. Dynamic in flavour, the fresh herbs and hints of garlic and olive oil just explode in your mouth. We cannot recommend this pizza enough. You may have eaten many others (and many others may cost less) but here, you are paying for artisanal quality. The best pizza available. Get some and give your mouth a party.

Service is excellent. Reservations are honored. Both the 12oz New York Classic and the 7oz Filet Classic were done to perfection. Juicy, tasty, and nicely presented. We always ask for the Baked Potato trimmings on the side so that we can add as much as we want (and need). Definitely worth a return visit.

We had previously on many occasions had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Food has been very good and our service as well.We ordered the burger (with blue cheese) special and accompanying orders of sweet potato fries (with a very nice Mayo style dip).Excellent!! Generous portions and the fries were very tasty and crispy.
