Drayton Valley is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located on Highway 22 (Cowboy Trail), approximately 133 kilometres (83 mi) southwest of Edmonton. It is surrounded by Brazeau County, known for its vast oil fields. The town is located between the North Saskatchewan River and the Pembina River.

Drayton's has been around since oil was discovered. Almost. While some attempts were made at renovations, it still misses the mark. Its too dark, and despite my understanding that they are going for a more romantic, private atmosphere (thank god someone is in town) its just too much. The food is only average; it used to be great, but it hasnt changed and just maybe needs a new item or two. Service is typically decent. You wont hate it, but you wont love it. A very "safe" place to go on a date/anniversary/etc.

Wasn't sure what to expect when we went. This restaurant is still very young and has lots of potential. We were expecting some really good curry but none of their buffet dishes were spicy at all. I assume it is the Canadian cuisine part of it. I hope it continues to grow and that they add a curry or two to the buffet that has some kick.

The Tap House is a recently renovated restaurant/lounge where the food is delicious, especially their stuffed meatballs for the meat and potato lovers among us and the chicken pot pie for chicken lovers. The Tap House is the only place in Drayton Valley that serves it, but be careful as it is very hot, so before you grab your fork tool and don't be a fool...just let it cool while you drool and play some pool in this jewel and you'll give thumbs up for the place does rule. ;-) The establishment is clean and the staff is very friendly. If you like beer, the Tap House has many different types of beer on tap to choose from. Big screen TVs line the walls and a large bar area is located in the center. I love to play pool on date night and there are two new pool tables located between two dining areas. There are bench tables around the pool table area separating the dining areas from the pool tables which is really nice, especially for patrons who don't like to listen to clacking pool balls. For a nice evening out for diner, the Oil Tap House is one of my favourite picks in Drayton Valley.

flavorless no spice or anything bland, had the special and soup found myself adding salt and pepper just to have some kind of flavor kinda disappointed but it was filling i guess

Came here for a quick bite, and was in and out in about 45 minutes. Had a long island ice tea and a couple of appies. The drink was delicious, and the food was excellent. Would definitely return if I was in the area again.

Stopped in for Monday burger and fries for $10.95...wow! Burger was excellent and substituted soup for fries - potato bacon! Tasted like mom made...Went back two days later for wings and was impressed again. Definitely will go back!Thank You for your feedback, yes our Monday special and Potato Bacon soup is quite popular, We shall convey your comments to our cooks, I am sure they will be very Happy & proud. While my kids were overwhelmed at the size of the sandwiches (to be fair they were adult sized), they were exceptionally made with delicious and copious fresh ingredients. The salmon burger and Caesar salads were similarly fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is trendy and clean. Two thumbs up!

Coming from Victoria, one of the foodie capitals of Canada, I can confidently say that this place was well worth the visit. Going into a smaller town like DV you slightly expect lower standards (more pre frozen food), this place put that stereotype to bed.There was a total of 6 of us and not a single on of us has a bad meal, and we all had a different type of meal. It was warm, fresh, and tasty! I personally just had the wings and i would come back to DV just for them. Other people had sandwiches, lasagna, steak, all were great! The prices were really reasonable as well. Definitely would recommend stopping in! Thank you so much for your excellent review. Happy to hear that all six of you received a warm fresh tasting meal, and sincerely hope that if you come back to Drayton Valley you stop in and visit us again.

AMAZING! We used them to cater our wedding and could not be happier. The food was delicious, the service was amazing, they were very professional and detailed to work with. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. We received so many compliments from our guests that the service they provided was the best they'd ever had. They were very accommodating for our requests and dietary needs of our guests.
