4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening out-one in our party said it was without a doubt, the best steak he had ever had.....and he’s had a few...the seafood appies were full of flavour and perfectly cooked-as was the entire meal. Only negative was the hard chairs -would have preferred booth seating, but won’t stop us from returning soon!

I ordered two rolls and 1 who sunomono for take out and was overall very pleased! The food was fresh and only took about 15 minutes. The evil sunomono was delicious and huge! By far the biggest I’ve had. I had the crazy girl rolls and spicy tuna roll. Both were good but I wouldn’t recommend any of the deep fried rolls for take out. I didn’t go very far to my hotel and I found the roll a bit soggy.. no crunch left. It may be much different if sitting in so don’t shy away! The staff were very friendly as well and the restaurant is conveniently located on the highway.

Gin's on Canyon

I was literally shocked by the experience I had at this restaurant. The place itself is very dreary, poorly lit, and seems like it hasn't been reno'd since the sixties (and not in a nice way). The washrooms are SCANDALOUS. There are Third World hovels that have nicer washrooms than these. Not only are half the tiles missing and the plaster underneath has been roughly patched up, but there are signs of extensive water leakage throughout. I would hate to see what the mould situation is behind those walls. I held my breath while I was in there to avoid breathing in any of the untold number of spores in there. The service is certainly nice enough but then they brought the meal and it was simply AWFUL. Now come on, who serves a large cut salad in a tiny soup bowl? How do you eat it without spilling it all over the table? Then the main arrived and it was just unspeakably horrible. The Salisbury Steak was greasy, covered with a gelatinous and overly browned very bitter gravy, a micro scoop of hard mashed potatoes and worst of all, steamed unseasoned No Name frozen veg where the broccoli was all stems! Not a single floret in there! My kid can cook better than that. This is... Disgusting!

If pizza that makes your tastebuds go into a frenzy, but not keep ya up all night with heartburn is what you're after - grab some here! Both of our pizzas were great, adequately proportioned with toppings, sauce and the amount of cheese. Been to my fair share of pizza joints, but this place would even do amazing in the city.Great work to the kitchen staff!

We made reservations for a dinner party of 16 for dinner. We had 6 more people who decided to show up. They were turned away as the restaurant said they could not accommodate them. The chef said they were only serving reservation guests. We had our meal, which was delicious, but way to expensive for what we received. When we left approximately 2 hours later, the reserved tables were still empty. In my experience I have never been to a restaurant where the restaurant would not try and accommodate, if glitches happen. The 6 other guests could have been offered another menu choice. They had to go to another place in town to eat, when we were celebrating a birthday. We will not go there again.Sorry your experience at our winery was unsatisfactory. We are not a full service restaurant, but a winery Bistro, and we made it clear to the organizer that we needed exact numbers of guests, as we have one chef and a very small kitchen. We purchased supplies and prepared a menu specifically for your party. In actual fact, you arrived with 9 more guests than you reserved. The reason there were empty seats when you were here was because we closed the entire Bistro for your party. I find it hard to believe that any small restaurant would be able to accommodate 9 extra guests without warning.I am also sorry that you found $45 too expensive for a 4 course dinner, all made from scratch from local farm grown ingredients, with a view of the vineyards and mountains. Maybe a 'larger portion' restaurant would have been a better option for you.

Tims Fish and Chips

Really delicious, reasonable, authentic fish & chips in a quirky little building. To be honest, the building is so unassuming that I might have passed it by, which I'm glad I didn't. There is ample parking and a few little tables in the spotlessly clean interior. Options are cod or halibut with a generous portion of hand-cut chips, very decent coleslaw, and all the excellent tartar sauce you want. They even have proper malt vinegar :) There's other options too for the non-fishy types (deep fried Mars bar?), but why would you not want to have their great fish :) A single piece of halibut with a ton of chips for lunch was under $20 which is pretty good for this quality.

We really liked the atmosphere when we first walked into the pub. It reminded us of an old pub feel. The menu had a great selection and it was difficult to choose from all the great options. We ordered the salmon in phyllo pastry and the veal cutlets. Both were excellent. Other dishes we saw being served to nearby tables all looked amazing. We are sorry to be leaving town tomorrow and unable to come back here. Our waitress was very pleasant and did her job well. Two Big thumbs up for Jimmy’s. We will definitely return the next time we are in town.We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your dining experience with us. We are very proud of our staff and the amazing job they all do to create delicious food and a great atmosphere. We look forward to having you back to our town to enjoy more of our menu.

The motel where we were staying recommended this restaurant and we absolutely loved it. The service was friendly and efficient and food was really good.We ordered the squash soup and pierogies for staters. The soup was great but the pierogies were deep fried and we thought they were not as good as steamed pierogies. They were just too heavy with all that batter on them.We both ordered the daily special...penne pasta with chicken, squash, tomatoes, onions in sage cream Alfredo sauce. It was amazing! We didn’t have room for desserts but they looked very good. The entire menu looked delicious and we wished we were staying longer so we could come again and try other entrees. We ordered two beer and before tip the bill was $64. Really delicious food...highly recommend this restaurant!
