Taranto's Crawfish

While visiting Biloxi I had a craving for crawfish. I GOOGLED "crawfish near me" and Taranto's came up. It's a little place that seems out in nowhere, but when we pulled up the parking lot was full. I know crawfish season is in July, but the waitress said they did have boiled crawfish. Service was impeccable....fast and polite! I ordered the crawfish 3 lb platter that came with corn and potatoes. The waitress showed me an easy way to peel them since it's been 4 years since we've visited Biloxi and I kind of forgot how to eat them. They were terrific....nicely flavored with a few jalapenos in the mix. The corn was scrumptious as well as the potatoes. After I finished the platter I did want to try their crawfish/shrimp bisque....oh my goodness the flavors just melded together. Will I be back....You BETCHA!!! I wish I would have picked up a t shirt to wear back home!

Half Shell Oyster House of Biloxi

One of our favorite restaurants anywhere, but not so good this past Tuesday night. Roasted Oysters were served with shell pieces in them, and served extremely cold, everything else was fine. Complained to the bartender, as we ate at the bar, but she didn't get it, said that the oysters were from Virginia? Virginia oysters has nothing to do with them being cold, and pitted with shell fragments. Rest of the meal was fine.

Went here for dinner. You can choose inside or outside dinning. Eventhough it was a bit windy we chose outside for the view and weren't disappointed. There is a good menu selection. We had red snapper, shrimp and grits, and the shrimp dinners. All were very good. Dinning was laid back with friendly staff. Would recommend.

This was our second time eating at this restaurant in 2 months. My husband ordered the hamburger which he said was fabulous. I ordered the shrimp po-boy sandwich. It was amazing. Perfectly breaded shrimp. In fact they didn't skimp on the shrimp. It was overflowing. My only negative was the Wedge Salad I ordered. It was "deconstructed" (my words not theirs) I prefer everything piled on the salad. Their blue cheese dressing could use more blue cheese.

Had a great breakfast at this restaurant. The portions are very large and suitable for sharing. The fruit plate was lovely had cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, berries, yogurt and a banana nut muffin. Two people could easily enjoy with a side meat and have a huge breakfast. The “country ham” was not a typical salt cured thin sliced ham, but a thicker Virginia type ham steak. It was two large slices. The portions are very large, so unless you have a hearty appetite, I would suggest sharing. We are thrilled to know you've found personal paradise with us at Margaritaville Resort Biloxi! We can't wait for changes in latitude to bring you back to share more fun and frozen concoctions with us on island time. Fins up! Sincerely, Katy- Margaritaville Resort Biloxi Team
