Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary

Visited cafe on a rainy morning, sat with cake and coffee on terrace overlooking lake ,then a troupe of monkeys came out of trees and starting playing about on the lawn, great to watch, when rain stopped we went to walk round lake but pathway is closed,as is all of the nature reserve,so you only get a glimpse of the place, there is a large walk in aviary with flamingos, again shut, and if you purchase some fish food you can feed the large tarpon in the lake.Considering the cafe is only 100 m from the road it is unbelievably quiet and peaceful, just a great shame that the reserve is shut to the public.

We are so sad we only discovered this on our last day. Trying to find breakfast or lunch has been difficult! Don’t head into Bridgetown for lunch. Head here! Especially if you’re staying at the Hilton or the radisson. The breakfast there are very underwhelming, so unless you’re getting free, avoid! Great food here, lovely setting, good coffee (there is no coffee we’ve found as yet! All uht milk ) I had flying fish caesar. Absolutely delicious!!

We came here Friday night, after going to Oistins and leaving early. The place has a good feel to it and it is right on the beach. I can imagine it could be really good in there. The food was good, my burger was good. What let it down was the service, we were pretty much left on our own and not asked how things were, if we wanted more drinks etc. It wasn't even busy, the staff just looked quite bored and disinterested.

I went in the morning for pancakes for the children and cake and a coffee and made the most of the excellent freshly made takeaway menu. The service was excellent, the pancakes portion was good and the home made Compot really delicious. The coffee was great too and what I really loved was I could take away frozen quiche and lasagne at v reasonable prices so I could have fresh cooked food, additive free and so easy for family dinners when I don’t have time to cook. That’s a rare treat on this island. Thanks guys!

Soooooo everyone said come here for breakfast. We came. Arrived at 9am. Granted no reservation. We were sat at 9:17. Not bad. They took the order about 15 mins later. It’s now 11:24 and of the 5 of us. Only two have received our meals. Ohhh and one of us didn’t get cutleryI’m not sure if they are either understaffed or have too many tables to manage the rush but something has to give and today it was service. Service gave way under the pressure. At 11:25am. 2 more came. Still missing one. Bliss was honestly not blissful today.

We stopped here for lunch as we passed it a few times and remembered good reviews. It was fine. I asked for chicken strips. I think I got pork. The fries were fresh for sure! "Special" potatoes were just seasoning salt covered. Jerk chicken panini looked good that spouse had. Fairly underwhelming.

Charged us 24 BD$ for 6 slices of toast which I can only describe as nothing short of daylight robbery - they had nothing else to offer us hence only option of toast, you may question why we did not ask the price prior to ordering - well, would you expect to pay the best part of £12 for a few bits of toast, neither would I - my wife out of courteousness paid the bill and we left. This a cautionary tale, this venue may have had lots of positive reviews but I am guessing having a refurb to pay for they have decided to charge their only income, us tourists, the earth. I will not be going back, poor form.

Had breakfast here a few days after they reopened I believe with a new owner. It was just finding it’s feet I think as the waitress that took our order looked very nervous and only oneOrange juice arrived instead of two but that was fine I didn’t say anything as we could see that it was a little chaotic for them as very busy, waitress in charge I think, was lovely but they needed more staff out front, breakfast was great very tasty couldn’t fault it, would go back but as a treat as expensive for what it was.Thank you so much for your input and positive review! You are correct Relish is under new ownership! yes it always takes a few steps to get ballet set up and running! The new menu is fresh and fun, with some nice new world additions. your input is noted and appreciated, lok forward to seeing you soon again.
