Where to eat Cafe food in Springfield: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Reviews on Cafe food in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. Springfield is perhaps best known as the birthplace of basketball and home of the Basketball Hall of Fame. (The story goes that local physical education teacher James Naismith invented the sport to fill the gaps between football and baseball seasons.) But this historic town on the shores of the Connecticut River is famous for a few other reasons and definitely worth a quick jaunt or weekend away. Springfield was the birthplace and home of beloved children's author and illustrator, Theodore Geisel, Dr. Seuss. In fact, the Zoo in Forest Park, a sure hit with the kids, is said to be the inspiration for many of his wild and wacky tales. Wander through the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden, at the Quadrangle, for a look at the Cat in the Hat and Yertle the Turtle cast in bronze. The city served as a major arsenal during the Revolutionary War, a role that is commemorated at the Springfield Armory National Historic Site, which displays an enormous collection of small pistols. History buffs will also enjoy the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum, a tribute to the ordinary people of the region who, during various periods in time, did extraordinary things.

Crepes Tea House

This restaurant is utterly fantastic. We came here for the first stop on a daytrip, and are so happy we came here. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day, and have a great selection of food items. A lot of the food's Russian, so it might be unfamiliar to people at first, but it's all delicious! We had the pelmina dumplings, the farmer's cheese pancakes, and house potatoes, and everything was amazing. They have an extensive tea menu; there's something for everyone. The waitstaff were friendly and knowledgeable.Hello Dustythoughts, thank you for taking the time to write this review! We are glad that you got to enjoy such a variety of different foods that we offer. We always tell people that just because something is unfamiliar doesn't mean it's bad so it's nice to see that you agree! We look forward to seeing you again.

Palazzo Cafe

I was attending a convention at The MassMutual Center in Downtown Springfield, Ma and at Lunchtime, the lines were very long inside the center. The selections there were ext0remely expensive and the wait for unappetizing food was very long so I decided to look outside. Right across the street was the Palazzo Café. I was able to get an inexpensive, delicious Chicken Wrap without a very long wait. Not only that the waitresses were extremely friendly and made you feel like you were one of the family. If you are attending a convention at the MassMutual, don't wait in line there, cross the street and eat at the Palazzo Café, I'm sure you will enjoy it

Amazing coffee prepared by expert crew. The staff is knowledgeable and the environment is unique. It’s great to get specialty coffee locally. Worth the trip from anywhere and offer subscription service. It’s a tucked away gem in the city, ground level with wide doorway.
